Night #1: Constant dripping in tub. Hair dryer didn’t work.

Night #2: Staff didn’t give wake up call they promised. Handle on sink not secure to countertop.

Great stay, great amenities, great location.
Pros:

Breakfast was pretty good, good amount of variety. Clean rooms. Enjoyed the hot tub! Close to stores, restaurants and Metro for traveling into D.C and surrounding areas.

Cons:

Pillows were very floppy. I prefer firm so maybe its just me being picky.

Cons:

As of May 2025, Memorial Day weekend, the pool was closed. It’s not advertised anywhere the pool is closed, in fact it’s advertised more that its pool accessibility, hot tub jacuzzi with the photos and amenities list. Also the gym TVs don’t work. They turn on and nothing… also breakfast is good I just with it was a little more versatility.

Very Disappointing Experience
I had a very bad experience at Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott in Alexandria, VA. This was my first time staying here, and unfortunately, it was very disappointing. The staff was unprofessional, and the customer service was poor.

The breakfast was the worst I’ve had at a hotel, and I honestly don’t understand how this place receives 5-star reviews. In addition, the luggage dollies were broken. When I asked the concierge for help, she was very rude and simply said they couldn’t help with a dolly.

Overall, this stay did not meet my expectations at all. Because of the poor service and experience, I do not recommend staying at this hotel.

Pros:

I liked that there was still breakfast left in the morning

Cons:

I mostly didn’t like everything about it. I was itching all night in the bed I was laying and and the couch wasn’t a better option so the king suit was not worth almost $200

Cons:

The room was too hot and even after setting the desired temperature it never cooled down. The room darkening shades wouldn't close completely.
