Klasse, gute Lage, gutes Frühstück, sehr freundliches Personal
Pros:

Cons:

Leider Zimmer mit Verbindungstür, etwas störend

A Place For Retreat and Recovery
Pros:

I first stayed at Sofitel Singapore City Centre some time ago. Although my previous stay wasn’t entirely perfect, every issue I encountered was handled promptly and professionally by the team. That experience left me with confidence in the hotel, which was why I chose to return for a very personal occasion—my post-surgery recovery retreat.

Before my stay, I shared with the hotel that this visit was meant to be a quiet period of recuperation and that I expected to spend most of my time resting in the room. The team thoughtfully assigned me a peaceful room with a lovely heritage view, which was exactly what I needed.

Upon arrival, I was welcomed with a bottle of wine and a generous fruit basket. When the staff learnt that I don’t drink alcohol, they immediately offered to replace the wine with soft drinks instead. It was a small gesture, but one that showed they genuinely listened and cared about my preferences.

Shortly after settling into the room, I noticed a stain on the bedsheet that had unfortunately been overlooked during housekeeping. After I informed the team, they responded immediately and replaced the linen without hesitation. Later, housekeeping even left me a handwritten apology together with a handmade towel bunny, a thoughtful touch that I truly appreciated.

Throughout my stay, the team consistently demonstrated warmth, professionalism and genuine hospitality. Their attention to detail allowed me to focus on what mattered most—resting and recovering.

No hotel is perfect, but what distinguishes an excellent hotel is how it responds when something doesn’t go according to plan.
On both of my stays, the hotel showed that they genuinely care about their guests and are committed to making things right.

I left this stay feeling well cared for, refreshed, and grateful. I would not hesitate to recommend Sofitel Singapore City Centre to anyone looking not just for a comfortable hotel, but for a place that offers real peace of mind.

Pros:

It was a really good experience. Nice room, nice staff, amazing location.. it's just above the MRT line which is super convenient and close to the china town which I found to have more to do than the marina. I did stay in the marina after but for convenience and price, this was great.

Paradise in the heart of Singapore
Pros:

Conveniently located within walking distance of Lau Pa Saat, the satay market, it is also a close walk to the Maxwell food centre and a 10 minute taxi ride to Gardens By the Bay. The hotel is surrounded by cute cafes nearby on a street of shophouses, as well as nearby complex to satisfy your chilli crab fix at a neighborhood favorite Melben, and ice cream after just across the restaurant at Birds of Paradise. Not to mention an IGA supermarket within the area.

The hotel lobby is always buzzing with guests for high tea, afternoon tea, drinks, seemingly a popular location for people to gather.

The pool is a sanctuary amidst buildings, but still offers calmness and indulgence.

The rooms are clean and luxurious, which easily fitted an extra roll-out bed. We had a room overlooking the pool. The bathroom is very functionable with separate doors to the toilet and the walk-in shower, as well as a bathtub.

4 night stay a Sofitel singapore City centre. Underwhelming
Pros:

We were on a brief Asian holiday to get away from the winter in South Australia. We booked the Sofitel due to the brand reputation and the central location with an MRT literally under the hotel. While I would have given it 4 stars if it was any other brand, it was underwhelming compared to many other sofitels we have stayed in this year alone. Barcelona , Sydney, Melbourne and Bali. It was marginally ahead of Sofitel Brisbane city. We stopped by for a bite and a drink at Sofitel Sentosa and the service was better.
The positives : We arrived at midnight : Check in was straight forward. The ambiance of the hotel is excellent : Room 1810 . a corner room with excellent views, The room had excellent amenities , a good bed and soft furnishings.
The AC worked well, the rooms were very well sound proofed allowing for a good sleep. the public spaces were comfortable and open and beautifully decorated.

The other positive was the Millesime lounge experience for evening canapes and drinks. Mostly because of the Staff who were very professional and friendly and service focused. Thanks to DANNY , Mark, and Kem as well as some of the staff who worked hard to care for the guests. It is interesting that all drinks are served by staff.
This is in contrast to to other Sofitels in Asia and Australia, New Zealand where beers wine and bubbly is self serve where as cocktails and spirits naturally are table service. The lounge was freezing cold with the AC set at 18c. we sat outdoor due this.
The hot food was generally good , the cold food offerings very basic: very little cheese or cold meats , some crackers , 1 sweet most days.
We made it to afternoon tea one day and found some of the stuff from breakfast at Racines on offer in the afternoon in the club :very dry croissants. than at Coffee was a lot better than at the main restaurant.

The NOT SO positives : We had Millesime club lounge access thanks to our Platinum status. Now, if we had paid for club access I would have been devastatingly disappointed. We walked in for Breakfast on our first day and found that the offerings were a basic buffet with eggs to order but were told that since they had no chef some food would be brought up for level 5 ! This is in stark contrast to Sofitel Sydney Wentworth , Sofitel Darling Habour, Sofitel Melbourne on Collins and Sofitel Bali nusa Dua where they have an A La Carte breakfast menu as well as a buffet.
We promptly went to Racines, the main restaurant on level 5.

The Breakfast service at Racines was chaotic to say the least. The Bright Star was HANNAH, Thank you. She tried to service her guests despite having to literally run from the front counter to their tables and attending to coffee orders. For the 3 mornings we went to breakfast the overall impression was that the area was under staffed with no waiting staff member assigned to a particular set of tables so, table clearance or asking for a coffee was a fraught exercise. The food offerings were passable. Some of the Asian classics were excellent. The rest was passable. The Coffee was TERRIBLE . It came from a machine that seemed to be operated by a poorly trained staff member. We asked for a regular Latte and one with non diary ( almond I think) latte. They were delivered to our table while we were getting our breakfast and we did not know which one was the diary free latte.
The manager was kind enough to get us Barista made coffee , but to give you context every other Sofitel we have stayed in offers Barista made coffee, and lactose free milk was always available. Five star means Five star. This Sofitel service and offerings were 4 star
Would I recommend this sofitel or stay there again , probably not. Management needs to consider if they want to ride on the reputation of the Sofitel Brand and have one time guests or have returning guests. We have returned to Sofitel Wentworth Sydney 3 times and to Sofitel Bali Nusa Dua 4 times . Wonder Why !

Beautiful 5* hotel in a great location
Pros:

We just got back from Singapore and ended our trip with a city stay for 2 nights at the Sofitel City Centre. We booked a deal that included a discounted 2nd room which was good value as a family of 4 and our rooms were on the 7th floor. The Hotel itself is beautiful, clean, smelled nice and all the staff we dealt with were so kind and friendly. We had connecting rooms and they were so spacious, very quiet, had lovely decorations and were impeccably clean. The pool and pool area were also great and the kids loved it. The location was perfect for us as we could easily walk to China Town and directly below the hotel there was a dining district and the MRT. This is definitely a 5 Star hotel and if we ever come back to Singapore, we will stay here again.

An ok hotel location close to trains
Pros:

Nice hotel

Cons:

Breakfast was a mission to get around too spread out.
Found the hotel quite old worldly in decor.
Staff not great at breakfast took orders for coffee first morning and never came until we asked on our first morning.

Outstanding, despite the weak club offering
Pros:

We spent 6 nights in this hotel in February this. Overall, our experience was outstanding.

All of the staff - like everyone else in Singapore - were friendly, helpful and available.

Our room, a club king luxury, was excellent, in good order, well equipped and extremely comfortable.

We breakfasted in Racines, the main restaurant. It is large and very busy in the mornings, with the hotel being very much a business stay as well as a holiday hotel. Despite that, quality and service was high, with a truly vast choice encompassing multiple cuisines.

We also had one dinner in Racines, which was excellent if pricey. We had more than one bar meal in the extensive and comfortable lounge area, and everything was very good.

The pool area upstairs is very pleasant and generally very quiet when we were there.

The one slight let down was the Club Millesime facility. The space itself is down a long corridor towards the events area. One part of it is just a fenced off part of the events lobby, and felt very much as thought you were sitting in a corridor. There was a small separate room next to this: this was comfortable, but the air con was running at arctic levels - you seriously needed a fleece to sit there for more than 15 minutes. Staff were as usual very helpful and attentive, and it was good for drinks, but the food offering was very limited, with nothing but a couple of types of middling pastries outside of nominated "meal" times. The "meals" themselves were a mix of very nice but very small served items, and fairly average and typically not very warm buffet items. Overall, the Club offering was weak and not remotely worth the price charged. We were fortunate with an offer so it was effectively free for us, but I would have been quite disappointed if I'd paid full whack. It compared very badly to a recent Intercontinental equivalent I experienced. Needs improvement or a hefty price reduction.

Overall however, I will definitely stay here again - and as the Club will be free with my Accor membership, I can live with it.

Excellent service
Pros:

We had a wonderful dining experience at Racines, Sofitel. This is my third time coming to Sofitel to eat at their restaurant with friendsz The food was delicious and the atmosphere was warm and relaxing.

A special thank you to Rey for his exceptional service. He was incredibly warm, approachable, and attentive throughout our meal. His kindness, genuine hospitality, and attention to detail made our lunch even more enjoyable.

Thank you, Rey for making our visit so memorable. We look forward to dining with you again and highly recommend Racines for both its excellent food and outstanding service.

This was a fine stay, but there are other hotels in the area that offer better value for your money.
Pros:

- Excellent location: Connected to MRT station and a short walk away from Chinatown, many hawker centers, and restaurants
- Room was comfortable

Cons:

- Value for money: There are other hotels in the area that offer similar comfort level for less money
- Club Lounge: Not worth it - poor quality food and drinks with not as much variety as other club lounges
