Minnesota nice is a thing
Pros:

Shout out to Mak and the team of the Intercontinental at MSP. It’s easy to access from Terminal 1 at the airport. Need a shuttle from 2. The team went the extra mile to help with transportation and location advice. Room was clean, comfortable and quiet despite be by the runway. Thanks for all the help.

Very expensive for not a lot of convenience

It should not be considered "connected to the airport". It was just over a mile walk from my gate in F. I do not mind paying for the convenience of a connect airport hotel (DTW, MCO, ORD) but this hotel is not convenient to a large part of the airport. The front desk staff was rude, dismissive and had no idea how to navigate the airport. I asked the front desk if there was a quicker and more convenient way to get to the F gates other than walking. Both ladies told me that they didn't know and did not bother to look it up or provide any additional information. Will not stay there again.

We loved our stay here. The room was clean, comfortable, quiet and fresh. We loved our delicious breakfasts and the way we were treated by staff. Overall a 10/10 stay. Would absolutely come back!

Outstanding location for business travelers and a lovely, welcoming staff (thanks, Ahmed)!
Pros:

This is my first time staying at the Intercontinental MSP Airport hotel, although I travel to MSP regularly on business. Usually I stay close to my local office, but in this case I have to fly out very early, so I wanted something convenient to the airport. This place delivers, both in location and amenities, as well as in staff, especially the lovely and welcoming Ahmed (but more about him later). The hotel is connected to the airport via skyway, so I was able to walk directly from my terminal to the hotel (it is a bit of a hike, as I fly into terminal E and the hotel is accessed thru terminal C, but well worth it). The hotel also has its own security line, so I'll be able to go directly back into the terminal from the hotel in the morning - awesome! Checking in was easy thanks to Ahmed at the front desk, who not only welcomed me warmly, but ensured I was enrolled in the IHG loyalty program and got my member number into the system for this stay. Because I arrived early, my room wasn't available, but Ahmed checked my bag and promised to text me as soon as my room opened up. The wait was brief, and Ahmed gave me a couple bottles of water to drink while I hung out in the lobby. My room is modern, clean and well-appointed, with good wifi, lots of outlets, a Nespresso machine and comfortable furniture. The bathroom is spotless, well-designed and comes with nice amenities, including a large make-up mirror - thank you! Even though the hotel is on the airport property, it is exceptionally quiet - I don't hear any noise, even though I can see airplanes taxiing outside my window. I am so pleased I chose to stay here, and will definitely be back.
