Excellent!
Pros:

I chose this hotel for the location. It is connected to the airport and has its own TSA security, which is incredibly convenient. The room was spacious and very comfortable. The restaurants and their staff were great. However, it was Moe at the front desk that made my stay exceptional. As I read through other reviews, I was not surprised to see his name mentioned multiple times. He is an asset to InterContinental and I hope that he gets recognized and rewarded for it! Thanks, Moe, for making my otherwise tough trip (a friend’s funeral), quite a bit easier.

Exceptional service and the perfect airport hotel!
Pros:

My experience at the Intercontinental Minneapolis – Saint Paul airport was outstanding from beginning to end. Mak and Moe at the front desk were incredibly kind, welcoming, and supportive. Knowing that I was a nervous flyer, they patiently answered all of my many questions about navigating the airport and help put me at ease. When I returned from my trip to pick up my car from the hotel, which was incredibly convenient, they greeted me with a warm and hearty welcome back.

Reggie picked me up from the airport in the hotel shuttle after my trip and could not have been kinder. He provided truly exceptional service and made the final part of my journey so easy and pleasant.

I also enjoyed a delicious dinner the night before my flight at the hotel’s restaurant, La Voya, where the service was equally attentive and caring.

The staff of the InterContinental made what could’ve been a stressful, travel experience, feel manageable and welcoming. I am now planning my future trips around a stay here. I highly recommend those hotel, especially to anyone flying through MSP!

Rude person at front desk gave me a key to an occupied room where a couple was having sex.
Pros:

I am writing about my experience on Monday May 22-23, 2026.
First, the woman at the front desk gave me a hard time before sending the shuttle to get me at the airport. “Do you see the Intercontinental sign?” It was dark and the sign is mostly black so I didn’t see it. But I assured her I was at the hotel shuttle area. She refused to send the shuttle until I found the sign and by then my wheelchair driver had left with my bag. So I hobbled to find him; luckily I did.

I finally arrived around midnight. The shuttle driver was great, btw. The woman at the reception desk at first could not find my reservation, then claimed it was for 2 nights rather than one. I showed her my confirmation email to straighten that out.
Then after some more time, she gave me a key for room #430. I reached the room, opened the door, propped the door open, flipped on the light, and saw that there was a couple having sex in one of the beds. I shrieked, quickly turned off the light, closed the door and made my way back to the front desk.

After a long wait I was finally given a key to a new room (505). I requested a free breakfast and was given a chit. It was almost 1:30 am when I reached my room after leaving Italy the previous day and having an 8 hour layover in Newark. Maybe I looked as exhausted as I was, but this was not the service or the experience I expect from Intercontinental Hotels. I feel for the poor couple who were already in room #430, and I am nervous about staying in a hotel where that can happen; especially whan travelling alone.

I did ask for a free breakfast and after some grumbling was given a chit. The hotel gave me 10K points but when I went to the website to make another reservation using the points it would have cost more with the points than without. I gave the waitress a $10 tip for my free breakfast. It wasn’t her fault! I used to love this hotel.

The only hotel to stay at if flying out of MSP.
Pros:

If you are flying out of MSP, or even just looking for a hotel near the MOA, this is a great hotel. If you're flying out of Terminal 1, they have they're own TSA screening station, saving you a ton of time. Unfortunately, we were flying out of terminal 2, so this did not work out for us, but their 5:00 AM shuttle service was great.

The room was clean, surprisingly quiet and more than enough room. Had drinks at the bar for happy hour and then went to the Bradstreet Crafthouse for supper, which was very good.

One thing we did do, we parked our car in terminal 2 orange parking lot versus the long term parking that the hotel offered. Then we got back on the rail system to terminal 1 and walked to the hotel. One, it was easier to leave when we arrived back to MSP, and two, I didn't feel like paying the $34 dollars a night. Probably saved about $120 doing it this way.

Overall, I'd stay at this property every time I flew out of MSP, if I needed to lodging before the flight. The staff were all very friendly, it's clean, modern hotel that had shockingly quiet rooms considering you are right at the airport. It was a great experience.

Excellence in Hospitality
Pros:

This was our second visit to the InterContinental MSP Airport Hotel. Mak welcomed us and helped us check in early so we could ready ourselves for our son’s wedding. Mak is exceptional, he’s so pleasant and professional - but so are the numerous other workers who make this hotel a sanctuary for travelers. And while this is a review for ICH, I have to say, everyone we encountered, the workers at the car rental complex, are so friendly and wonderful. Minneapolis is truly a gem. With family here, we will be regular visitors and the ICH will always be our first choice for lodging.

Awesome location makes travel so much easier.
Pros:

This was very easy to access since we only had carry on luggage. The fact that there is a small TSA attached to the hotel made our flight the next day so much easier. We would highly recommend for anyone with an overnight connection.

Cons:

It’s a bit pricy, you are definable paying for convenience.

Amazing hotel, not only the location is very convenient for travelers, but the quality of everything inside the room is superb. The bed is very comfortable, the toiletries are high-end, impeccable design, great views, watching airplanes and a quiet room full isolation.
