Hotel Roca Sunzal

The food was the best we’ve had on our trip. We ordered grilled chicken and it was perfect. David was incredible and is a great waiter.

Great hotel. Located on the beach of El Tunco, the hotel is surrounded by lots of activates. The staff is great and very welcoming. The rooms are nice and spacious. I did not go into the pool, but it was extremely well kept, and many families were enjoying it. The hotel also has security for extra piece of mind. Highly recommend this hotel if you are visiting El Tunco.

You couldn’t wish for a better location. Everyone working here is wonderfully nice. Rooms are very clean. Pools are clean. Restaurant and drinks are great. Good parking service. What’s there not to love ?

This hotel is in the heart of everything. If you want to go to sleep early, this may not be the place for you as the clubs along the beach are right next to the hotel but we loved being able to walk anywhere in the town and there were so many eating and entertainment options. Our room overlooked the ocean and had a fabulous view from the room and the balcony. It was clean and spacious though not fancy. The hotel breakfasts included a choice of cereal, a traditional breakfast or fruit and yogurt. We loved the shaded chairs by the pool. And the staff was super helpful.

We loved the place from the moment we arrived. The security staff was incredibly kind and even offered a wheelchair for my mom so she could get to the restaurant comfortably. Our server, Christian Escamilla, was attentive, friendly, and brought such a positive vibe to our experience. El Salvador has many places to visit, but what truly makes a place to stand out is the people who work there—and staff like them are the reason we’ll come back and recommend it to others. By the way, food was great!

Roca Sunzal is great, clean, Nice food and gentil staff, but If you are looking for a quiet place dont stay there, they keep the sound system loud from 8am until 9pm and to make It worst It is aloud to local musitians to play ALL day in front of the restaurant by the Beach. It is a mess

Restaurant needs a bit more flexible policies. Charge 1.50 for butter and 1.50 for 2 slices of jalapeños. Outrageous in plain English. Be more accommodating!

For the bar/ restaurant only, as we did not stay as hotel guests!!!
Popped in for a quick couple of drinks after the sunset as it had some music on and a wide variety of drinks. Service was slow, and the drinks tasted extremely watered down. Pina colada tasted more like a milkshake and the Tom Collins an elderflower squash.
The same songs also came on multiple times over the speakers while there was simultaneously a local group attempting to sing. Disappointing and would go elsewhere for a drink.

Check in was as spected and normal. The pool area is small came around checking for speakers on the pool and enforcing guidelines, I felt it was too restrictive at 4pm when i was alone at the pool. Kitchen is slow to serve. Staff is very respectful. Food was good, prices for anything a bit on the high $$. Probably will not come back from the overall experience and pricing
