Americas Best Value Inn Kinston

I was disappointed the pool was closed for the season. Their website said it was open till November 1st.

Smelled like urine outside of my door by where I parked. Breakfast was light.

Bed was comfortable, good size shower and staff was really nice. The room smelled like old musty water. The toilet had hair on it and the bathroom floor hadn’t been swept as there was an old dead spider behind the bathroom door. The room door had a large gap under it to see outside and the side of the door as well causing a light in the room from around the door. The fridge and microwave was clean but I didn’t need to use them.

When I arrived the motel did not have proper information from Expedia. I had updated stay to 2 nights which was confirmed by Expedia but upon check'in I was advised they only had record of one night.Cynthia at the front desk was pleasant and sociable.the room was very old & outdated. Furniture was scratched. Bedding had what appeared to be nailpolish on the comforter. The fittings in tne bathroom were covered in rust. I attempted to iron a white blouse and black liquid came out if the iron-possibly mold. I tried emptying the iron & iro ed a towel to remove residual liquid. Then I tried to iron a second blouse it more black liquid came out. 2 white blouses were ruined. The extra latch lock on the door was loose and didn't offer extra security. I have photos of all.

The property was ok it was the owner and staff that was very rude and nasty

Nice place for the money. I don't think it was the motel's fault, but Expedia charged me more than the rate they were advertising.

The first problem was upon, checking in one of the employees that was behind the desk told us that they would have a large selection for breakfast, that couldn’t have been farther from the truth you could make your own waffle. They had frozen sausage and biscuit that you had to microwave fruit maybe cereal I’m not sure.

My mom was stranded because her car broke down and the manager wouldn’t let her check in early. He was very rude and unprofessional. He told us that if she checked in early she would have to leave that same day at 12pm, we paid for a night and her checkout was for Tuesday. We were trying to explain her situation and couldn’t get a word in because he would interrupt us and said is she staying or not. He said she had to leave if we weren’t going to pay for a second night and she was only staying one. The young lady at the receptionist desk was very polite and try helping my mom after the manager walked away. She apologized to my mom for how rude and disrespectful he was to her. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

Room was cleaned which is very important to me, no noise at night able to get needed rest

It’s a cozy area, has a fridge and microwave which always makes our trips easier. This is usually our preferred place to stay in the area. Easily accessible too

Stayed here several times. Always clean. Always friendly. Always a good continental breakfast. Always a fair price. Always quiet.

Couldn’t find ice machine no signs for guidance. Breakfast ends way to early most don’t get up til 9 9:30 and breakfast is over by then.

The room was clean, but the walls were made of paper. Other guests came in late and were very noisy.
Said there was a hot breakfast, but the only thing that was hot was the stuff that you had to fix yourself. No eggs, bacon, sausage, etc.
