Great choice for a great visit.
Pros:

I chose Casa del Rai for two reasons. One was the location. You can walk to the airport if you want. It is in walkable distance to almost all the bars and restaurants south of the bridge.
The other reason was the large number of positive reviews. The owners and staff are mentioned again and again as going beyond what you normally expect. And we found that to be true from the time we were picked up at the airport until the time we were dropped off at the airport. Sincere goodbyes and handshakes and waves from each of them and sincere hugs from Darwin as he dropped us off. All throughout the day we found ourselves in conversations with each of them. Real conversations, not just typical questions we might have as guests.
The room was perfect. We often hung around in the room using either the air conditioning or the fans, or sat just outside on the balcony in the sun and breeze. You could watch the boats and the reef from one balcony or the people and the gulf carts on the street from the other. The ability to use either a microwave or an oven to heat up the leftovers you brought back from supper was great. Or just warm up what you picked up at the bakery or one of the numerous local takeouts.
The pool on the top level was just right for cooling off or working on your tan while looking out at the reef. And I was impressed with the time spent cleaning the rooms for the next guests.
We had a great time on our visit in San Pedro. Staying at the Casa del Rai was a very important part of the reason why.

Nice Property - Owner Could Be More Understanding
Pros:

The apartment was large, beds very comfortable, beach towels provided, kitchen had just enough, close to beach access, grocery, and food options.

Cons:

Staff was friendly - owner (man) was grouchy. The property assumes guests will book all excursions through them, but we had booked our excursions online before booking our hotel. When I asked about how to arrange a taxi for our excursion, I got a full lecture. All I wanted was to get a taxi WhatsApp number or know where to stand to catch a taxi since our departure was early the next morning. The lecture was wholly unnecessary.

Fantastic Spot!
Pros:

This rental had everything - space, 2 bedrooms, wonderful staff, golf cart rentals, cookware/fridge/oven/appliances, plenty of towels, comfortable beds, roof top pool and a view of course! It is in a great central location as well. Highly recommended!

Nice inside, location is not
Pros:

Clean comfortable rooms, nice living room, kitchen well equipped. “Inside” of the place is great.

Cons:

Location. Next to the building is an ugly construction site (it looks abandoned). No direct access to the beach, no “resort” feel. It’s a few story house next to main street. It is noisy, especially when you sleep in the room on the side of the busy street. The stairs and floors outside were super slippery when rained, easy way to slip. We stayed there only for 2 nights (even though we paid for 4 nights), and move to a resort away from the city.
There are few floors there, make sure you want to go up a few flights (it’s a lot..).
We were disappointed.
Needles to say, I’m very sorry to write this , but I rely on recommendations, so it’s important that the information is up there.

Wonderful stay
Pros:

The apartment was very clean, comfortable and location was great. Bakery, fruit stand, and grocery is across the street or a block or two. We rented a golf cart with them to explore further. The staff especially Darwin is a great host and responded quickly to our questions and requests. We loved our stay.

Perfect location, clean and spacious rooms, and very friendly staff
Pros:

The rooms were spacious and clean, and the location was so close to everything we needed (restaurants, bars, diving shops, etc). The rooftop was beautiful as well. However, what really stands out is the staff — everyone was so welcoming and helpful! They took care of everything for us, airport transportation, providing golf cart rentals, booking excursions, etc. I 100% recommend this place for everyone!

De accomodatie was van alle gemakken voorzien met zelfs wat welkomst-biertjes in de koelkast. Het zwembad op het dak was fantastisch!!! De ophaal en wegbreng- service was voor ons als gezin zeer welkom. En natuurlijk het boekje met tips!

Pros:

Lage etwas abseits des Zentrums, nahe am Meer. Es gibt einen Pool auf dem Dach. Da momentan so viel Sargassum an den Stränden ist und man deshalb nicht baden kann ist der Pool extra Der Ausblick vom Dach ist sehr schön!
Die Mitarbeiter sind sehr nett und zuvorkommend!
Die Küche war gut ausgestattet und es gibt Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in der Nähe. Geschickt auch der Bäcker schräg gegenüber.

Cons:

Eigentlich alles prima, nur sehr schade für alle Besucher ist das Sargassum. Hoffentlich wird eine Lösung gefunden!

Pros:

דירה מאובזרת ונוחה, הצוות היה מקסים, בעלי הבית לא היו אבל היו איתנו בקשר לפני כל ההגעה, הסבירו ודאגו. הצוות שהיה במקום היה אדיב ונחמד. אספו והחזירו אותנו מהמקום למעבורת ללא תוספת תשלום. הם משכירים במקום קלאב קאר שזו הדרך שכולם מתנהלים באיזור. הברכה היא על הגג, נחמד מאוד. אפשר ללכת ברגל למרכז צלילה קרוב שזו בעצם הייתה האטרקציה הכי רלוונטית של המקום. החוף היפה לשחיה ובילו בעונה שהיינו (יולי) היה במרחק 45 דקות נסיעה בכביש לא משהו עם הקלאב קאר. הצלילות היו מדהימות. בית חב"ד נמצא במרחק של כ20 דקות נסיעה, היינו בארוחת שישי והיה מדהים! יש במרחק הליכה מסעדות ובתי קפה. יש גם הרבה סופרים ואפשר לבשל בדיקה, מטבח מאובזר ונוח.

Cons:

בליז הוא מיקום שישראלים נכון לקיץ 2025 לא רצויים בו מבחינת הרשויות. האנשים עצמם היו מקסימים אבל עכבו אותנו בגבול 6 שעות למרות ששלחנו מייל מראש וגם הבאנו הכל מודפס כפי שביקשו, לא שווה את זה בכלל, לא ממליצה לאף ישראלי להכנס למדינה הזו. בעונה שהיינו יש בכל החופים אצות בכמויות מטורפות וכל האזור מסריח ברמות קשות, זה נכנס לדירה גם כשסגרנו הכל, ריח שבאמת א"א לעמוד בו. התמונה של הבריכה במלון אכן נכונה אבל רק לדעת שהיא בעצם נמצאת בגג בקומה 5 בערך ולא ממש על החוף כמו שזה נראה. לחוף שליד הדירה לא ניתן להיכנס בגלל האצות. סן פדרו זו עיירה מאוד מאוד פשוטה, מרגיש שנתקעה איפשהו בשנות ה 70-80. זה לוקיישן בעיקר לצלילות מטורפות, לא מעבר לזה.
