Broadford Hotel

Clean and nice hotel centrally located in Skye. easy drive to Portree or any other Skye activities.

Clean room. Easy to access. Free parking.

Nice place to stay.

Complete lack of amenities and excessivly expensive for the charge per night of the hotel.

Stayed in Room 6, I think it was above a pub/bar so was very loud all evening- struggled to get any sleep.
Check in was great the staff were very friendly, check out the staff were also lovely but had to wait quite a while to get any attention, not really their fault could see they were helping with breakfast service. And no ask “how was your stay” etc just a rush to get back to help on the floor. Totally get it- maybe not enough staff to help out on the day but felt quite blunt.
Room was clean and tidy but a little dated (bathroom in particular). Bed was super comfy and clean.
Location of course lovely- it’s the Isle of Skye!
Parking was ample.
Overall not a bad experience just a few niggles here and there. Just not the best nights sleep with all that noise and service a little slow!

A great staff, a great location, a great restaurant and selection of food

The first night I couldn’t sleep because they did not vacuum the room and it smelled like wet dog. The restaurant had poor service and a boring menu. The wait staff didn’t seem like they knew what they were doing and seemed more anxious to close up than be attentive. They forgot to bring me my drink. There was literally no salad in the menu, the closest thing to a vegetable was a bruschetta on questionable, grey bread. However it was quite pricey. Later that night I woke up with food poisoning. That’s just the main points. There were lots of other little things wrong with food and cleanliness of the place. Basically the hotel was really really over priced and dirty. I’m definitely not coming back.

The quality & service at breakfast was 10/10 - thank you to the fantastic host who seamlessly did 10 people’s work! The room (No 2) however had major issues - not worth £400 per night. Dirty metal/copper sink and bath, no AC, swarms of midges outside so the window cannot be opened at all - no air circulation, smell of dog strong initially, itchy bedsheets, dirty carpet and bad drainage in shower caused overflow anytime we showered. Overall OK, we managed, and Skye is beautiful but not worth £400 per night!

Property was nice. Staff very friendly. We had issues in our room and unfortunately could never get ahold of any staff members to help us. Seems like they are understaffed. Wish they were available to help us, would have rated the hotel higher.

This hotel is in a nice location with a beautiful outward appearance, dining room, and lobby. Unfortunately, that's where it stopped for us as the price seemed too high once we journeyed to our rooms. Both rooms seemed dated, in need of repair and very run down (not charmingly vintage) which would be ok if the price reflected the value.

Old property and too much smelling

The building was older and showed some wear but it was clean and the staff was very friendly.

Thia hotel was really nice. In a very quiet area in Isle of skie. I loved the landacape, the old building and how they repserved everything. It is true it doesn't have elevator but it is not a reason to discredit all the plus and how comfortable they made us feel. Breakfast was really good and service exceptional.

Good location. Reception took 20 plus minutes to get someone at the desk despite ringing the bell provided.

Absolutely lovely stay. Helpful and kind staff, amazing breakfast (and dinner which was separate), nice two room suite. Lovely grounds and walkable in the center of Broadford.

Awful, they did not provide pick up as arranged, we were told we didn’t have a reservation we waited 2 hours to talk to manger who then gave us a room that was unbearable hot

Very comfortable clean room. Delicious dinner in the hotel restaurant. Very friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommended.

Booked the room with the queen size bed and a pill out couch for the kiddo. Loved the vintage feel of the room except that the shower had a slow drain. We contacted the front desk and this young lady came over right away and fixed it. Great water pressure. We also had dinner at the restaurant and had a lovely view of Bradford Bay in front of the hotel. We were taken care of by the same young lady that checked us in and help us with the drain situation. We were a bit worried she was the only staff at the hotel. She was lovely and had a great positive attitude.

The best hotel on our road trip. Handy location, beautiful setting, lovely rooms with wonderful bedding. My husband didn't want to get out of bed the next morning because it was so comfortable.

Highly recommended.
