I am a regular every time love the area and even became q known face will be coming back some day or another
Sometimes where there is dirty towels or it has a stain and food in room when you are outside should be changed and collected that would be great
Very Quiet. Breakfast was very good and good value. Reception and wait staff were excellent.
The room needs a refurbishment. in particular the window was held open with a block of wood. Some evidence of mould on the ceilings of the bathroom and shower assembly was in need of repair. Also signs of mould on the dinning room ceiling above the bay window.
When you book outside of the main hotel group, you get a good price but the worse room
Breakfast was ok .
Staff could have been better .. was a young blonde girl on reception that needs more training.. very rude at one point when ask a question.. I just think they needed more management a round ..
The room was comfortable
The blonde girl that was on reception made me feel uncomfortable and made me feel like I didn’t want to be there. Also to be told by her that I had to pay £15 for the car park which I never had to pay ever before. She made a real issue about the dog. If the hotel doesn’t want dogs don’t make it a dog friendly hotel. She made me feel very unwelcome with the dog
Very nice staff, great location. Close to beach
The mini fridge could have a little more snacks, few more cold drinks
Excellent location - right in front of the beach and also a walkable distance (20 mins) from the town centre and railway station. The surrounds of the property are also beautiful, green and peaceful.
lovely property, small (not very large and no “chain-hotel” cold vibes. Good rooms, good food.
The staff is also very helpful
Nothing to dislike
The hotel is conveniently located, close to the seaside. The rooms are spacious, and beds are really comfortable.
We also paid for the breakfast which was completely worth it, there are some extras if you order barista type coffee but it's still fair price.
They charge £15 per day for the on-site parking, which I found odd, it should be included in the room price. If you are driving you may want to take that into account when deciding your options.
Beautiful location overlooking the bay and within comfortable walking distance of the town. We had a beautiful room with sea views. The breakfast was good and we diner was available in the dining room. There is secure parking with easy access to the hotel. Your dog is made welcome too - the hotel has dedicated rooms for pets owners.
Small communication problem regarding what we’d booked but it was resolved without fuss. If in doubt contact the property before you arrive.
We felt the meals were over priced.
Near to the beach and city centre
Dated furniture, outlook and environment. The gardens get more attention than the guests.
Wonderful location with sea views and a lovely sunny terrace. The staff were all excellent and very friendly. The restaurant dinner was very good too.
Our room was an odd shape and had a view of a wall and aircon units.
A large and very noisy party spoiled our experience. I would go back but not on Friday or Saturday.
location
I didn't notice that because I booked via yourself, I had to pay £15 for parking at the hotel. Had I booked with the hotel direct I wouldn't have been charged for parking.
The hotel had polite, friendly and professional staff who were easy to talk to. Bedroom and bathroom were very clean. Breakfast had plenty of choice, well cooked and presented food served by friendly staff in a beautiful setting. It was lovely to see the drawing room frequented by so many visitors for coffee and light lunches. A ladies lunch group were there one day and a special birthday party another day. Monday lunch time had a jazz band. A quintessentially charming English hotel.
