Very enjoyable 'long weekend'. Visited the Russell-Cotes house and winter gardens.
Pros:

Grounds are particularly attractive.
Sitting on front terrace is very enjoyable.
Atmosphere of the hotel is peaceful and pleasant.
Sea view from room no. 209 excellent.
Bathroom small but clean and everything worked ok!

Cons:

Breakfast menu is adequate but rather 'ordinary'
Cereal bar is fine and good selection, (peach slices delicious!)

Cons:

Unser Zimmer hätte nicht mehr vermietet werden dürfen . Standardzimmer. Ganz furchtbarer Geruch und sehr sehr klein. Wahrscheinlich sind die renovierten Zimmer sehr gut.

Great location and nicely presented Hotel
Pros:

Hotel was lovely and location was great, staff were friendly and room very spacious

Cons:

Having to pay for parking on the large car park provided by the hotel left a bit of a sour taste. It wasn't very busy, so I felt parking could have been complimentary for guests. It wouldn't deter me from staying again, as I otherwise enjoyed my stay, but I thought it was a little disappointing to be charged extra for parking on top of the room rate.

No worth the money
Pros:

Proximity to the centre and the beach

Cons:

Old, tired, not worth the money we paid. Wifi was poor. Our suite was very old. The bathroom cracked and dirty tiles, tv reception poor - couldn’t get BBC1. The outside ratten furniture on our balcony was rusty and coming apart. For 2 nights we paid £580 - not including breakfast or parking.

Beautiful and peaceful
Pros:

Wonderful location, gorgeous coastal views, and the private parking was a huge plus. The hotel itself is a beautiful, historic building. Room was clean and staff were friendly .

Cons:

The property is beautiful no doubt, but the rooms would benefit greatly from a refresh, as some of the furniture and cushions showed noticeable wear and tear. Because we visited during a hot summer spell, the room felt quite warm and stuffy. A small desk fan was available, but it wasn’t cool enough.
