Cheap feel and not professional front desk which I was expecting better on both.

Had to wait for a front desk person upon arrival. After a few minutes I went to open the front doors again hoping someone would come out to greet me.
There was dirt makeup or something on my comforter that is black on a white bedcover. How did the maid not notice that?
Mostly did not like the small thin bath towels, and only 3 for 2 adults. I called the front desk for additional towels so we wouldn’t have to use wet ones in the morning, they never came, I called again and she said they’re at the front desk. Odd.
We both woke up to highway noise at 5am, and wished they had put us in a room on the other side, away from the highway.
For a Holiday Inn Express it was very cheap “dollar-store & Scott tissue” thin bath towels. Not impressed at all.

Pros:

The breakfast was excellent.

Cons:

In the corner of the room, there was a lovely chaise with a light above which would have been perfect for reading. I couldn't get the light to turn on. I tried with the switches on the light itself and with the wall switches. Nothing. I should have called the front desk, but I didn't, so I didn't blame the hotel. My mistake.
