Eine nette ruhige Unterkunft in Holbox, naturverbunden und ohne Schnickschnack.
Pros:

Das Zimmer war sehr groß und hatte eine kleine Terrasse. Wir haben die Ruhe sehr genosen und der Blick auf die Lagune war auch schön.

Cons:

Der Wasserdruck in der Dusche war schwach und das Zimmer ist ziemlich dunkel. Es gab keinen Kaffee für die Kaffeemaschine.

Perfect stay in a quite place
Pros:

Place was very good, facing a lagoon and in a quite place away from noisy clubs/restaurants. All facilities were provided and the place was very spacious with a separate dining place and a kitchen. We could even use the patio in front of our room for our breakfast while watching the lagoon and occasionally being visted by a cute racoon and 2 iguanas (who minded their own business). They provided separate beach towels that one could take to the beach.

Something else to highlight was the availability of clean filtered water so that one didn't have to buy more plastic bottles and adding to the trash on the island and misery of the planet.

Our housekeeper, Betty, was very friendly and helpful. The owners had provided receommendations of different restaurants/pubs to check out, which was very useful.

Pros:

Csendes, nyugodt mellékutcában van, mégis közel a parthoz és a központhoz. Betty nagyon segítőkész volt mindenben, 2 behűtött sörrel várt bennünket, ami a hosszú út után nagyon jól esett. A vadállatok közelsége (mosómedvék, leguánok) nagyon vidámmá és egzotikussá tették az ott tartozkodásunkat, folyamatosan mosolyt csaltak az arcunkra.

Relaxing, clean and quiet property, close to beach
Pros:

Relaxing, clean and beautiful property. Room was spacious with comfy bed. Betty the house keeper was helpful and kind. The hotel was close to the beach and downtown but far enough away that it was quiet. I’d definitely stay here again!

Fantastic location and a very quiet and beautiful little retreat
Pros:

Fantastic location! Super quiet and calm, right by a lagoon with plenty of birds, it was such a welcome respite after the noise and tons of people in central Holbox. Only 5 minutes to the beach. We had the lower room called Sunrise. Very well equipped. Very pretty decor and overall comfortable, although the mattress was a bit hard (no padding). Betty the housekeeper is the cherry on the sundae. Kind, always smiling, always eager to help, she keeps the place very very clean! She did our bed every single day. Swept and cleaned the floors every day. And more. She is a gem 💎
We truly enjoyed our stay at Casa del Alux and highly recommend this place if staying in Holbox.

Cons:

We would have liked a small dining table on our assigned terrace outside. There's only a small cocktail table, not nearly large enough if you want to have a proper meal outside. We would also have appreciated if there had been two comfortable chairs to just sit and chill outside on the terrace (not lounging chairs). The 2 small chairs provided on our terrace were plastic, hard and not very comfy nor relaxing. The hammocks are great, but sometimes you feel like sitting in a comfy chair.
But overall it did not prevent us from enjoying our stay.

Solide aber teuer
Pros:

Die Unterkunft war sehr ruhig und lag direkt an der Mangroven - dort konnte man viele Pelikane und Vögel beobachten. Die Küche war gut ausgestattet.

Cons:

Leider war die Haustür nicht anschliessend mit dem Boden, weshalb viele Ameisen kamen. Zudem war die Wohnung sehr dunkel und roch etwas modrig. Der Preis war leider sehr hoch für den Standard und die Qualität.

El mejor lugar para hospedarse en Holbox
Pros:

Casa del Alux es una propiedad increíble para hospedarse en Holbox. Mi esposo y yo estuvimos 4 noches a principios de Enero 2026 en la habitación "la vista" y nos encantó. El departamento tenía lo necesario para estar cómodos: refrigerador, cosas de cocina, caja fuerte, A/C, toallas para la playa, cama grande y baño. Las instalaciones estaban super limpias y en general se puede ver que el dueño le da mantenimiento constante a la propiedad, por lo que las fotos en booking son exactamente lo que encontramos al llegar. Apreciamos mucho las amenidades que incluían un garrafón de agua y dos hamacas en el balcón. La ubicación de Casa del Alux también es fantástica: a pocos minutos de la playa y del centro pero al mismo tiempo lo suficiente lejos para tener tranquilidad. Conocimos a los dueños: los dos super amables y siempre con recomendaciones. Asimismo, Betty siempre estuvo al pendiente de nosotros. Podemos recomendar esta propiedad y seguramente regresaremos cada vez que visitemos Holbox.

Cons:

El único detallito que no nos gusto fue el protector de colchón que tenía la cama. Era como de plástico, así que en la noche sudábamos un poco debido a esto.

A perfect stay on Isla Holbox
Pros:

We stayed in Casa Del Alux for 6 nights, and honestly, we could not have asked for a better accommodation to start our holiday! The apartment was super spacious, clean and cozy. It’s very close to the beach and the center with all the restaurants. We were warmly welcomed by the housekeeper Betty and we met the owners as well. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Pros:

Nos gustó mucho la tranquilidad. A pesar de estar cerca del centro donde hay más ambiente, podamos volver caminando al hotel y descansar. Las instalaciones muy cómodas y prácticas.

Cons:

No llevábamos idea de utilizar la cocina pero algunos utensilios deberían ser renovados. O por ejemplo las mosquiteras.
