This is worst Hotel I have ever stayed in my life with my family generally in vietnam all hotels ask their guests to pay for the stay at checkout as this is their normal way to business but this guy at reception 1st thing he did was to ask me to pay for the 2 nights that I have booked and also kept our passports with him.after I told him 1st I want to see the rooms so immediately he spoke to his staff in their language so they rushed to go the rooms little to know at that time because they wanted immediately to go and spray some air freshener so the rooms could smell good. I asked the guy do you have lift in hotel and he replied yes but he is not telling me that I have to climb stairs to go to 1st floor for the lift.
I initially book this place for 2 nights but I checkout out in one night and took refund of one night as the main issue was the drainage smell which covered the room after 2 to 3 hours of staying in the hotel we had 2 separate rooms booked and both the rooms had the same problem. We could not sleep well due to that and the photos posted by booking.com of the rooms are not correct as you would see a run down hotel in bad location and then you can see its a family run place where they don't think about cleaning the place or making sure the guest are comfortable and that is the reason the guy at reception will force you to pay 1st the hotel fee or they will not give your passports back.
I was in vietnam for 3 weeks and this place was the last hotel which I book for our trip and what a disappointment it was because all the other hotels (7) we stayed in vietnam we very hospitable and very kind and this place felt very bad.
I personally don't recommend any one to stay here and booking.com should remove them from their listing.
The room was clean and OK and the stuff was nice
I ordered a room with a balcony and when we got to the hotel they told us all the rooms don't have a balcony. I contacted booking about it (they told to talk with the hotel about it). I tried to write to the hotel and he's been ghosting (ignoring) us since then
Cheap and cheerful
Very loud, could not sleep until 2am due to staff playing videos in lobby. Can be heard throughout property. The property was quite dirty and could be improved
We only stayed for a night as we were on our way to Cat Ba. Out of the normal tourist area.
very clean/ friendly and helpful in every way.
good location!
Room is spacious and clean
Not far from the center
Noone speaks English, receptionists make you feel not welcome, especially the night shift one doesn't even pick up his head from his phone, to say hello. Very rude. Room clean but very outdated, windows can not close, but tighten with shoe laces, split wallpapers, flushing light bulbs etc. We paid for breakfast extra, there was no kitchen in the hotel at all, had to insist a lot to get something, in the near by local "food room", the same soup everyday, very dirty. Disappointed, overall 😒... Ebookers, have you checked that property before advertising it, charging money for breakfast?
