This was our second visit to the Seth 55 this year, having been in July as well. It is an outstanding hotel. Attention to every detail, smiling staff who care about good service, and extremely clean. Special shout out to the beautiful lady in the spa, the reception team who so kindly made the trip special for my Mum and Dad, and all the bar and restaurant team - you are all fabulous! We will definitely be back!
Lovely quiet hotel excellent food and restaurant very clean lovely pool loads of sunbeds close to sandy beach and shops light entertainment in the evenings not a lively hotel but if you want to relax and unwind you’ll love it
I am lost for words. Was this really a Tui hotel? I would expect this to be a five star plus. The facilities here are totally brilliant.
The swimming pool was at least Olympic length if not more. I've never seen such a long pool. Funny enough, the buffet for breakfast was also the longest I have ever seen. The choice there was phenomenal. All the food itself was top quality.
I've done a lot of cruising, and this buffet was as good as any top class cruise ship.
All the staff were friendly and helpful. Nothing too much trouble. Particular mention for Amparo on reception. She was so good to me.
It's definitely a hotel for people wanting a quiet relaxing holiday. Don't come to Santo Tomas if you want a lively time, or good night life.
If you are thinking of coming to Seth 55, do it. You won't regret it.
A small tip, Santo Tomas is so quiet, it's a good idea to hire a car, that way you are not reliant on taxis. In October there are only 3 buses a day, and they only go to Mahon, or Ciutadella.
We really appreciated getting rooms next to each other. I think this was the first holiday this has been so. It has been a very tough year for us and being near one another made a big difference. There were a lot of shared giggles being so close. Both our pool view rooms were clean, spacious, and well equipped. I took a kettle as hotel description read only some rooms had coffee making facilities. I didn't need it. The kettle, tea and coffee facilities in our rooms made it easy for me and my sis to have our early morning coffees before breakfast in the restaurant. My sister also appreciated the number of British tv channels available. She will watch Spanish TV, but likes her soaps and quiz shows. We played pool for the first time in decades. Had a game of cards and enjoyed the evening entertainment.
Staff at Seth 55 are a hardworking bunch, but never too busy for a smile. Particularly the cooking station chefs who were always busy, but good natured and always helpful.
Santo Tomas is a relaxing quiet resort with a few shops and supermarkets. The local restaurants were good. Santo Tomas is part of the Menorcan coastal trail, we didn't attempt the walk but for someone who is fit enough it will be a glorious walk. Santo Tomas is also on the Menorcan bus network, but it goes inland to Mercadal and on to Mahon and Citadella. We tended to stay in resort and enjoyed the relaxed laid back feel.
Once again, thanks a million to the staff at Seth 55 Santo Tomas for making this holiday for us.
The set 55 Hotel is beautifully placed at the end of Santo Tomas and is manned by friendly and helpful staff. The building is very cleverly designed and the rooms are both comfortable and spacious. The restaurant the balls and the swimming pool fit beautifully into the grounds. I hope to return next summer.!
This was a repeat visit - we have stayed in Hotel 55 several times since it opened and find that it suits our needs very well. The SETHotel chain is a locally owned company and we have found it to always provide us with excellent service in all its properties that we have used over the 30 plus years that we have been regular visitors to the the island. The bedrooms are large and comfortable and the buffet restaurant overlooks the very large pool area
Hotel 55 is located in a quiet spot in Santo Tomas. It is very much a multinational hotel with evening entertainment limited to an hour or so of mainly solo live performances in the bar area. There is a nice spa and gym and with daytime yoga classes in the area besides the outdoor pool etc. Although it is not an adults only hotel and families do stay there, there are NO facilities aimed specifically at children's entertainment
Amazing option as an hotel - good facilities and great breakfast. The beach nearby (walking distance) is perfect for a relaxed holiday with a free parking space. Perfect spot for quiet and relaxed days, away from busy beaches and also good walking option for Son Bou Beach (30 minutes).
Fabulous hotel in a stunning location. The hotel is very clean and comfortable including bedrooms and public spaces. The choice and quality of food is excellent both for breakfast and dinner. The staff are very friendly and extremely helpful. The outside pool area is amazing. I would highly recommend the Hotel 55 Santo Tomas.
We have just returned from a 9 day visit to this Hotel. We have been numerous times before. It was every bit as good as previous visits. The Staff are all very pleasant and helpful which makes our stay all the more enjoyable. Nice peaceful Location and the Hotel Grounds and Pool Area are very clean and tidy. An added bonus is not having to get up early and reserve a bed as there are beds available most of the day. We had a pool view room and our daughter had a room at the back which was fine. We asked to be put close together and our request was met without any problems. Santo Tomas is a fairly quiet Resort but that suits us fine. Would we return? Absolutely!
We have just enjoyed a super & highly relaxing week at the Seth 55 hotel in Santo Tomas, Menorca.
We first visited the hotel after it opened around seven years ago.
It was a pleasure to return here and to see how the hotel and its lovely team have developed & flourished over the years since our previous visit.
We booked a pool or sea view room through Jet 2 holidays. We would highly recommend that you book a sea view, pool or swim up suite room at a reasonable supplement to ensure that you are not staying in a forest facing room at the back of the hotel. Naturally, this would be your own individual preference. The food at both breakfast & dinner buffet on the Half Board basis was varied, tasty & well cooked and presented. A big shout out & thanks to Limone & Orlando, who cooked at the fresh cooking station. Likewise, thanks to Luc, Alejandro, Cristina, Jose and all the waiting staff in the dining room who work so hard in a polite manner. Whilst on the subject of thanks, a massive thank you to Amparo & Tamara at reception, along with their fellow colleagues. Likewise, thanks to the Guest Relations employee whom we think may be called, Elena. Apologies, if we have this name wrong. The chambermaids did an amazing job keeping our room clean, tidy & replenished daily. The pool and gardens at the Seth 55 were in pristine condition. Overall. A huge thank you to all the employees at Seth 55. You all work incredibly hard and we greatly appreciated your efforts on offering us a wonderful holiday in the gem of an island that is Menorca. We found the evening entertainment to be highly suitable to the quality & relaxed vibe of this lovely hotel which is more suited to couples rather than families looking for wall to wall entertainment. We highly recommend Seth 55 and look forward to returning again very soon.
Given a room at rear of hotel overlooking a concrete gulley with litter then a rock face. We feel disrespected as hotel guests and totally fooled by photos put out by hotel.
Everything from the moment we arrived at Reception was truly perfect. And everywhere was SPOTLESS! ALL the staff were there to help with anything and everything AND always with a smile. Nothing was ever too much. I can’t thank the housekeeping, the bars, the restaurants and the reception staff enough. It was really The Perfect break, no stress, no worries.
We had a standard room with view on the swimming pool and it was very good too. The shower room was excellent and the room was big enough for the 2 of us, plenty of storage in the wardrobe and the drawers, the balcony/terrace even had a “discreet” clothes line to dry towels and swimming stuff, a table and 2 chairs where you can relax while watching the pool.
The swimming pool was amazing and always enough beds, wee tables and parasols for everyone! Very easy to access as there are (at least) 2 ramps to get in. I only used 1 at the end and 1 in the middle of the pool.
The SPA was out of this world with the 2 separate jacuzzi stations, the “waterfalls” that acted as a massage for neck & shoulders, really amazing!! There was also a sauna and a steam room but I never used them as it was so hot at the end of August that I needed to relax and refresh more than anything. There is also a gym but I don’t do gym :-)
The breakfast, a buffet had anything you can dream off, traditional Spanish, cooked English, cold meats and cheeses, Croissants and Pastries (ohhh the “ensaimada” wow! lots of cereals, fresh fruit, yoghurts, cava … etc. The list goes on and there was always someone at the “plancha to make fresh pancakes, omelettes and fried eggs on demand. The buffet at dinner time was also out of this world. Lots of salads, cheeses, “jamón and other cold meats”, different prepared veg and potatoes everyday and lots of fish or meat dishes. At the plancha station, the cooks would griddle your choice of 2 fish or/and 2 meats and cooked as you like them.
I’m sure I have forgotten lots of stuff but it was a remarkable stay with Very friendly staff everywhere. Lots of activities too starting with “stretching sessions” in the morning, activities for children, entertainment every night, lovely cocktails ….
I wouldn’t hesitate in going back to Seth 55. It was an absolutely wonderful experience!!
This hotel was absolutely lovely. We are a family of 4, 2 adults, 2 teens and we had 2 rooms next to one another with a pool view. We enjoyed the cocktails, pool and entertainment very much.
This hotel is in a great quiet resort with a beautiful beach nearby and a handful of shops to buy snacks, sandwiches, drinks etc within 5 minutes walk. What stood out was how well it was managed. It had extremely motivated and customer focussed staff without exception - smiling, helpful and pleasant.
Food - very good quality and varied breakfast and evening buffet (definitely a step above your usual hotel buffet as can be found in all inclusive resorts). I must add however that if you have a severe food allergy, personally I would only stay bed and breakfast here. They offered a clear allergen menu for us in the morning but the dinner was not the same story and the member of our party with a severe food allergy was not able to eat 90% of the buffet due to cross contamination. This slightly blemished our experience but has since been rectified by the tour operator we booked with (I had done due dilligence checks in advance of arriving and been assured they could cater for us, but in our experience it was not safe and was not true).
There is a beautiful, large and pool, very clean and decent evening entertainment. A relaly nice atmosphere, very relaxing and we loved our holiday and the island. So beautiful.
It is suited to families with older children or adults only in my opinion, not babies and toddlers. This was the vibe here!
We had lunch at Es Pins (owned also by SETH) a 5 minute walk away and they had a clear allergen menu and reassured us they could cater for us for lunch and dinner, so if we stayed here again we would only choose bed and breakfast and et out for dinner.
A fab hotel and would wholeheartedly redcommend.
Traveller tip: We hired paddle boards on an hourly basis from just outside Es Pins down the hill (via downloading an app) and also took taxis to nearby places to sight see, although in hindsight shoulld probably have booked a hire car a lot in advance for best value from the UK as the prices of taxis did mount up for 3/4 trips out.
Beautiful hotel. Amazing staff. Great pool. Quiet and relaxing. Rooms spacious and well equipped. ECO friendly. Spotlessly clean.
We had a pool/sea view room. Lovely big balcony, the room itself was super clean, modern and well equipped. Shower gel and shampoo all provided.
We were bed and breakfast but ate in the hotel a few evenings and the food was excellent, varied and plentiful.
The staff were superb. A special mention to Nasima and Tamara on reception and to Jose Manuel on the bar who were all just lovely. Also the lady with glasses on the evening bar mostly whose name I can’t recall.
Oriana was a lovely lady who led a morning stretching class on the lawn in the shade.
The area itself is quiet, a few restaurants (with great views of the sunset) . Lovely beach (with lifeguards) and a pleasant coastal walk is on the doorstep.
Thank you to all the staff including the cleaning staff, restaurant teams etc for making our holiday so memorable.
James and Sheila.
The food is amazing very delicious and lots of variation, vegetarian, fish, meat options. very clean overall. Friendly stuff
This is the 4th time I've returned to this hotel. At first I was shocked to see the size of it as normally I stay in smaller family run hotels. However, despite the size I was amazed at how personal it is. Staff very friendly & even take time to have a little chat. Accommodation v. comfortable & spacious. Cleaning daily all around the lovely pool. Have never seen any rubbish lying around. Entertainment - a good variety of splendid musicians. Each evening a different type of music.
I hope to return next year fir a 5th time.
Ottima
This is a perfect hotel that is clean and spacious and well situated. The staff are customer focused and very friendly. The hotel is well maintained and the food standard is very good. All the bedrooms are bright and modern and of good size, they easily accommodate a third person if required.
I have had numerous breaks at this hotel and cant wait to go back !
Everything about this hotel is and Menorca is beautiful. From check in to check out the staff are welcoming, helpful and friendly.
The hotel is spotless, the pool area is large and it’s so refreshing not to have to get up early to secure a sun bed! There are plenty around. There is also a lovely area set back from the pool with sofas, chairs, pool table to enjoy relaxing and an afternoon shaded read. The Margarita snack bar offers a good menu and food is tasty.
The beach is a 5min walk.
There rooms are spacious, very clean, beds so comfortable! Large balconies, we had a pool/seaview, if you can go for those.
The bathroom does not have a door and when showering you are able to be seen which is the only downside. The toilet does have a frosted door.
Breakfast is of a very good quality, the lady on the egg/omelette station is brilliant.
Santo Tomas is a very quiet, small laid back area, very few restaurants around, suited us as this is what we wanted.
Do not hesitate to book this hotel, it will not disappoint. We had a wonderful few days here and loved Menorca.
A trip to Ciutadella is a must.
We've just returned from a 4 night stay here. We were in a swim up suite, which was a fabulous touch.
Firstly the suite - very big, the lounge area was converted to a bedroom for our son and with sliding doors to the main bedroom it made the 2 areas very separate. Lots of storage space, the bathroom was great with bath, large shower double sinks and separate toilet. Shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, hand wash and body lotion was all provided. Large rainfall shower and separate hand held shower. The only thing I would say is that there's a window into the shower and no door on the bathroom so if you're travelling with kids/friends there's not much privacy unless you shut them in the lounge area!
The swim up pool was great, bigger than we expected and had shallow and deep end. We were in suite 1 which lacked in privacy as we were next to the main walkway into the hotel rooms so constantly had people walking past and looking in. There was a big gap in the hedge in front of the pool so I'm not sure if there used to be a tree there previously. Also incidentally suite 2 had a large concrete raised area in their pool so if you stayed in this room you'd lose around 1.5 metres of swimming pool, although it could be used to lay on instead.
The restaurant - buffet breakfast and dinner was great, a lot of choice. Everything was restocked quickly, freshly made and tasted great. Something for everyone!
The pool snack bar - we ate here once during our stay, food was really nice however it was a little expensive for what it was, so we went to a local restaurant for lunch instead.
The bar - we had a couple of drinks here 1 night, the singer was great. Plenty of staff, all very friendly. Lovely atmosphere.
We didn't use the spa or gym so can't comment on those.
Supermarket, shops and restaurant were a 3 minute walk away.
We did go down to the beach when we arrived but it was so busy so we gave it a miss and stayed at the hotel.
As we had a swim up suite we didn't use the main pool although everytime we went past we could see there were plenty of loungers available.
I believe the hotel was fully booked when we went however, it didn't feel busy at all. It was a lovely hotel, very chilled out and spacious.
All in all a fabulous few days, the only thing which I would change would be the privacy for the room.
