Nada a aportar
I found Roça Santo António to be a very calm and peaceful place, ideal if you want to disconnect and get away from the city for a bit. It’s definitely more enjoyable if you have a car, otherwise you’ll likely end up having all your meals at the hotel due to its location.
The rooms in the main house were smaller than they appear in the photos, but when we had an issue with the AC, the staff upgraded us to a better room, which made a big difference and improved our overall experience. Contrary to some reviews I had read, we actually found the food at the restaurant to be very good, with a level of variety we didn’t see elsewhere on the island. The breakfast was also quite complete.
Although everything is still in good condition, you can tell the property is starting to reach a point where some maintenance will be needed soon.
The staff are very friendly and helpful. Nelson, who runs the place, is very engaging and helpful.
The breakfast is superb. The best in the archipelago so far, and we’ve been here for two weeks now.
I didn’t like was the musty smell in the room and on the towels.
And the bathroom needs a door. There are some things you just don’t share, if you know what I mean.

The room was very clean, the staff were helpful even though nobody spoke English and it had AC.
There isn’t any shops or supermarkets within walking distance but there is a lovely beach.
This has to be the best place we stayed on the Island. Everyone is very welcoming, check in was easy and the rooms are beautiful and new. We also got our laundry done which is a treat. Dinner was very good and the breakfast is probably the best breakfast we’ve had in years at a hotel and we travel a lot! The pool and a beautiful garden are just what we need to relax before our flight to Principe. We will be back soon. 100%!

Hospitalidade incrível, pequeno-almoço maravilhoso, inclusive refeições como almoço e jantar. Tudo de uma qualidade excelente. Quartos fresquinhos, super limpos e cama muito confortável.
Fomos muito bem acolhidos pelo Sr. António e a sua esposa. Recomendo e pretendemos voltar!
Espaço envolvente muito bem pensado e staff formidável.
Pequeno-almoço maravilhoso com muita variedade de produtos frescos; fruta, sumos naturais, ovos e todos os dias um bolinho caseiro diferente. Para jantar uma ementa variada e o que comemos era delicioso. Proprietário super simpático e acessível e na recepção ajudaram-nos com o guia na visita à Roça Água-Izé. Gostámos muito e esperamos voltar.

Não puder usar a piscina pois estava verde, falta de sorriso dos funcionarios. quarto com muitos cabelos e falta de manuntenção . Pedi cama de casal na mensagem e deram-me 2 camas singulares

Piscina estava verde o que nao dá para aproveitar. Infelizmente e o hotel nao consegue controlar, por tras ha uma aldeia e a partir das 15h tem musica altíssima o que nao permite descansar na rua ao pé da piscina. Wi fi muito fraco.
Casa de banho tem uma cortina o que a agua passa toda por baixo e molha a casa de banho toda. Chuveiro descontrolado
O pequeno almoço e o facto de ser moderno.
Os funcionários são simpáticos e prestáveis.
Os mosquitos na piscina.
Acho que o preço podia ser mais acessível.
Gostamos de tudo desde a alimentação ,as condições do espaço e principalmente da simpatia do Sr.Antonio.
It’s an old historic property and the owner seems to know about art.
Onviously no owner or manager were there. It’s famed for the tasting menu of the famous chef. But he isn’t in the country they said. I wish I would have taken photos of the plates so chef could see, but usually only tale pictures of good food. Terrible meal,,, plus being pescatarians they gave us bacon. Rooms and toilets were awful with torn sheets and towels. And the electricity goes on and off (employees only turn generator at their convenience) so it gets quite hot and there was no water without power. The employees are so grumpy, who knows what they report as we didn’t even had to do check in. At the moment.. avoid even eating there.
