Rest Sea Resort

What an amazing place. It’s the furthest resort but it’s worth the extra 15/20 mins car journey.

It’s a small hotel so you are looked after very well by the staff who are always on hand. Children are welcome too.

The food was amazing. Every night we had something different and all was great tasty food. Price for a curry and rice is around £6 so not pricey at all as some other reviews say. There is also a local restaurant behind the hotel that serve local food too at half the price of the hotel for those looking to eat good food for less money.

We travelled with our 16month old baby and one of the nights he was quite ill with a cough. the hotel organised a car for us to go to the hospital within 10 minutes of asking. we saw a doctor at the local hospital whils the driver waited with us and took us back. Luckily all was good with baby.

We stayed in one of the delux villas which was amazing, spacious and more importantly, spotless and clean.

Beach is lovely with the river flowing to the side of hotel which is crystal clear water as is the sea. Beautiful spot.

We loved it here the 5 nights we stayed and would recommend this place to anyone looking to relax and be looked after.

Vi var två kompisar som var där. Vi trivdes otroligt bra. Väldigt mysigt, litet resort på en lugn del på ön. Personalen var alltid mycket trevlig. Handdukar byttes varje dag. Gratis vatten, dryck och snacks som fylldes på varje dag på rummet. Mysig, liten restaurang där man åt frukost. Frukosten var helt okej, ägg lagades på beställningen och kaffet var över förväntan. Rent och fint på hotellområdet. Mysigt inrett på stranden och runt poolen med olika typer av sitt- och liggplatser. Gratis att låna kajak och SUP vilket var toppen.
Hotellområdet är väldigt mysigt inrett, dom har verkligen fått till det!
Trots att hotellet ligger avskiljt finns det några restauranger/barer på stranden som man kan promenera till. Stranden är så oss stor att man kan strosa eller springa längs den.

Om jag måste skriva nånting negativt så skulle det vara att kranen i badrummet skvätte väldigt mycket, dom sopade inte bort sanden precis innanför dörren, sängarna var väldigt hårda och duschen varierade mellan kallt och varmt typ varannan minut.
Dessa saker var dock inget som påverkade vår helhetsupplevelse.

Das Hotel hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Die Zimmer sind gut ausgestattet und geräumig und verfügen über eine eigene Terrasse mit gemütlichen Sitzgelegenheiten und einer Außendusche. Der Restaurant-, Pool- und Barbereich ist ebenfalls schön gestaltet, auch wenn die Liegen am Pool leider schon derbe Gebrauchsspuren aufwiesen. Das Frühstück mit Meerblick war toll und ansprechend. Es war alles da, was man für einen guten Start im den Tag braucht. Das Hotelpersonal war sehr freundlich, sprach allerdings zum Teil nur sehr schlecht Englisch. Am Strand, den man (eigentlich) als Traumstrand bezeichnen würde, gab es kostenlos Kayaks auszuleihen. Der einzige wirklich negative Punkt bei diesem Hotel ist die Verschmutzung des Strands, was wohl vielfach von dem neben dem Resort an einem Fluss liegenden Fischerdorf kommt. Das Wasser ist glasklar, der Strand puderweiß, aber überall findet sich immer wieder Plastikmüll im Sand oder es schwimmt eine Tüte, PET-Flasche oder anderer Abfall vorbei. Das ist so so schade. Auch wenn das Hotel nichts dafür kann und den Hotelstrand weitestgehend vom Müll befreit, kommt doch immer wieder etwas vorbei, und wenn man den Strand weitergeht sieht es zum Teil echt schlimm aus was den Müll angeht. Sehr, sehr schade, denn das Hotel und Koh Kood haben uns supergut gefallen.

Very nice and clean resort on a wonderful beach.

Staff needs a bit of training in service but overall ok.

Food was average but that was expected on a remote island.

The beach in front of the hotel is full of rubbish. Not suitable for a beach vacation. During high tide even dangerous to walk.

Fantastic! Beautiful and island design. Quaint. Staff was sooo helpful. We each received two massages onsite. We hope to return.

Really nice place off the beaten track

Fantastiskt ställe på en magiskt fin strand. Trivsamma rum, god mat och trevlig personal. Dock slitet och skulle behöva fräschas upp. Bättre solstolar på stranden önskas. Vi kommer gärna tillbaka till både Koh kood och Rest sea resort.

Das Hotel ist super gelegen direkt am Strand.Der Strand ist sehr sauber. Das Personal ist sehr zuvorkommend. Die Unterkunft sehr groß und die Aussendusche war ein Highlight. Wir waren schon das 2 mal hier und werden wieder kommen

Stayed here multiple times, always a delight.
A little far from everything but, the beach has very little people and is very peaceful. The resort is always memorable.

Eine sehr schöne Unterkunft. Ein wenig abgelegen aber ein wunderschöner Strand. Würden wir sehr empfehlen.

Just as others have mentioned, road to the resort is highly dangerous by motorbike, it's a mixture of loose gravel and deep sand. Accidents are inevitable, especially at nite in the pitch dark. Resort front desk closes early at 7pm, so if u got hurt, one would be in serious trouble. Management needs to care more about their guests and stay open later, and they need to fix the road infront, rooms are expensive and the guests deserve BETTER.

Es sind schöne Bungalows an einem wirklich schönen Strand. Die Straße dort hin kann jedoch nicht als Straße bezeichnet werden. Und auch der Müll wenn man mal etwas rechts der Anlage schaut ist nicht wirklich schön anzusehen.

We loved rest sea resort tucked away in a quiet secluded beach. Renting a scooter enables you to travel to other beaches and explore the island. Food was delicious and we ate on the beach at the resteraunt a couple of nights. The staff are very friendly, having stayed at other resorts on the island I would recommend this one for relaxation and being away from the crowds.

Loved it there

Great three night stay here. Lovely bungalow with good bed and semi-private outdoor decking area with bean bags. Gorgeous pool overlooking the sea and nice pool area in general. Beach is gorgeous. We rented scooters for the duration of our stay, as only a couple of other resorts, cafes and a small shop within walking distance. Only thing that could be improved is the breakfast. The items we ordered from the menu were good but the buffet needs to be more undercover and out of the heat (some of the milk had started to go off.) They should consider getting a refrigerated cabinet to put these in. Evening meal in the restaurant was excellent though. Would stay here again.

Positives
The rooms are well appointed, good ac, lovely showers. Free water, juice, soft drinks and snacks everyday. Really comfy bed, quiet at night. Lovely fresh, modern style but none of the rooms have any view at all except one. They have a swing and giant bean bags to lounge on- I would have preferred a table and chair. The rooms are all set back along a path only 30 seconds walk from the pool/beach. The pool is good, the food is AMAZING! Breakfast was fabulous. The staff were very good and the manager even got out of bed to drive us to the pier as we forgot to book a taxi the day before!!

Negatives
The location is quite remote so you need a scooter. The food and drinks are expensive relative to Thailand but the food is good!! We ate here twice but also went around the corner to a tiny b&b and blagged our way in there. There is also a little shop and we bought beers there. The hotel is not yet finished- the little details missing eg plastic still on light switches, rough edges around plug sockets not filled in yet, our sink leaked. This continues down by the pool, they fitted two taps to rinse your feet while we were there and they were building a shower. They desperately need to get some beach umbrellas although the manager said they were coming. The beach has nice sand but has so much rubbish it’s so sad to see. They have started the clean up but it’s going to take some time. The sea was calm and great for swimming
