The staff & the breakfasts were amazing

Cons:

The bed was awful, to the point that neither myself or my husband got hardly any sleep. I also got a bad back from the bed. The mattress was so uncomfortable. The staff were unable to move us to another room but did their best to try to make it more comfortable with mattress toppers but in all honesty it needs replacing.
The shower pump seemed to be on its last legs & there was evidence of previous leaks on the ceiling.

Comfortable, convenient and great staff
Pros:

Very close to town center, directly on bus route, lots of good walks from property excellent breakfast, enjoyed that you could customize your order, staff were great.

Great central location, large rooms, loads of tea and coffee in the rooms, great shower, great selection of beers in the bar, great breakfast.

Cons:

Old hotel so no lift but we were on first floor so it didn't matter. Some grab rails in the bathroom would help some older guests. The bar shuts a bit early and breakfast finishes a bit early.
