The place is good. It is just that it not well managed.
Pros:

The staff was very friendly, helpful and trustworthy. The location was good too. The hotel is in close proximity to all the business areas and government institution

Cons:

The cleanliness could be better. One of the reasons I chose the hotel was the gym. It was disappointing to find that it was neglected. Moreover, the restaurant allowed free smoking and only catered for non-smokers on the balcony. This goes against the modern trend of providing smoke free areas for our health

Staff were excellent! So helpful. The airport shuttle was great. Clean with comfortable beds.
AC worked but was noisy. Bar fridge didn’t work well and was noisy. Wall paper was peeling and water damaged. Gym was in disrepair and unusable.

Overall a disappointing experience
Pros:

Close to offices and convention centre
Staff are doing the best they can

Poor infrastructure, wallpaper coming off all around and in rooms
Seems as they have not refurbished for many years
Poor maintenance all over
Room was small for the cost
AC not the best
My toilet seat was broken, I asked them to repair it and reminded many times but nothing happened.
Mini fridge empty and not working. They replaced it with another faulty one.
Cafe facilities were poor, the roof terrace photos are deceiving
Breakfast at the restaurant was the poorest I have ever seen. You have to remind staff to refill things. Its catering for Chinese customers. Not much variety, fruit and pastries looked off. Fresh juices limited. I ate once over 7 days and just walked to nearest cafes and paid for better breakfast.

So overall a tired hotel, unpleasant experience and I am not sure how they got 4 star rating. I have stayed in 4 star hotels during my previous visits to Rwanda. This is not even close to 3 star compare to others. May be arrange a visit to 4 star hotels to see how good they are. And whoever decides on star rating needs to reconsider.

Perfect for a layover in Kigali
Pros:

The hotel is perfectly located close to the airport, with a supermarket on the ground floor. (I didn't go to explore the supermarket because I left early but it did seem very convenient.) The staff were very polite and helpful, and they checked me in and made sure I was comfortable, even though I arrived pretty late. I highly recommend this hotel! Also, there is a chinese restaurant on site and the food was absolutely delicious.
