Love the location, the staff and Valer were very nice and friendly
I didn’t like that I couldn’t stay longer
I'm usually super easy good and laid back with hotels as long as I have a clean bed, shower, and toilet, but... the building is in such a dilapidated state. Water leaks broken through the ceiling in multiple places. Carpets are dirty and frayed. Doors don't open smooth (took my coworker 3 tries to get their door unjammed) and then it didn't close completely when let go. The water got shut off while we were there, then the hot water was gone for the rest of the day into the evening. Waited until morning to shower again because of this.
I also experienced an allergic reaction to either the Crabtree shower products (which Reddit seems to show is a common issue with this brand) or the down pillows. The front desk didn't have ANY alternative shower products or down-alternative pillows. They offered me a towel to place over my pillow to sleep instead... They did have Benadryl in the store, thank goodness!
The guest services staff was kind and keeps the rooms clean, noise levels are good, located right in the middle of downtown close to plenty things to do, and the stay was affordable, but I will likely stay at Aloft from now on, even if DoubleTree is hosting the conference I'm at. This building's deferred maintenance is an embarrassment to the Hilton brand.
Great location. Room was spacious.
Main reason we booked was for the rooftop area to enjoy in the evening. This was shut down and has been for awhile and this was not something we were made aware of. Pillows were really flat.
Also it is valet only for $27 per night. The valet is literally 10 feet from their backdoor. See pic. Total ripoff. We ended up parking at the public garage down the street for $20 a night.

Staff was great, it was clean, and the bed was ver comfortable.
The rooftop bar/restaurant was closed for renovation during my stay so dinning options were limited.

Cleanliness
Employees, youth hanging out in hotel, not being able to enjoy what brought me there (rooftop), because it was close. Couldn’t enjoy the bar, because of the worker.
Like the Crabtree and Evelyn soap. The shower. Room layout.
The valet workers were EXCEPTIONAL.
I was on a group tour so the breakfast was geared towards that and was delicious.
