Northwood Hotel

It was remote and quiet. But not to far from town. Just outside of the busy and noisy town noise.

For a bathroom with limited space (regardless of the size), a door closer is not necessary..it will only cause accident like the door almost hit me because of this mechanical thing installed. The rest are ok.

LIKES

1. Peaceful and quiet environment. Hotel is located away from the main road.

2. Staffs were polite and quick to accommodate to our needs.


DISLIKES-

1. Toilet is occupied by insects (moths and small spiders) and the flush did not work on my 2nd night.

2. The staffs moved us to another room immediately but the bed in the replacement room had bed bugs (We were bitten and scratching the whole night).

3. The lizards seem to like hiding in between the groves of the balcony sliding door. After we chased out 2 big ones out of the door, they returned and stayed the night, making their loud lizard noises every few minutes throughout the night, making it difficult for us to sleep peacefully and negating the positive point of their quiet environment.

4. Breakfast was pathetic- choice of 2 slices of bread and 1 small egg (sunny side up) + instant coffee or 2 pancakes or Filipino dish (all small portions).with the instant coffee.

Hotel looks good from the outside and the pool area is nice but the rooms are poorly maintained and lack comfort. We stayed an extra night, which we arranged directly at the hotel, and they forgot to make up our room that day. Breakfast is at a local cafe and has to be ordered the night before, choice is very limited. Location is convenient for Hundred Islands National Park which is just a short drive away.

the best hotel in the city (Alaminos). It is new and clean, quiet a bit off mainroad the rooms and bathroom are spacious and comfortable. There is a nice garden and swimming but cant swim becouse no time hehe i only taking pictures in the pools and garden Breakfast was included, but filipino style, with toast jam&egg thank u to all staff

We had an overall very good experience in Northwood Hotel. The room is spacious where we had our mom's 78th bday simple celebration. Receptionist is accommodating. I just had comments which the hotel should consider for improvement: 1) breakfast - Pangasinan is known for Bangus Capital and the hotel served a very small piece of it, coffee came after we had our meal, and no drinking water served; and 2) we were awaken at 2am without power.

Cool. But no coffee to serve at room.

The hotel is very nice and so is the staff. It is an oasis in the middle of the city.

Pool doesn’t look clean so we didn’t try it.

Everything is organized. Staff are well trained. I would love to refer this to my friends back in the US.

Probably the best hotel in the city (Alaminos). It is new and clean, quiet (a bit off mainroad), the rooms and bathroom are spacious and comfortable. There is a nice garden and swimming pool. The pool could be improved by putting some long chairs. Breakfast was included, but filipino style, there could be a preset choice (with toast&jam&egg) for western people. There is no bar or drink dispencer in case you get thursty sitting around the pool! But all by all we were happy to find such a good standard hotel in the city! Recommended!

Thank you for all the hoteliers who made me feel very relaxed. Thanks to you, I was able to enjoy the beautiful sunrise and sunset of Hudred Islands. And the next day, I was able to safely complete my last trip in the Philippines by taking my bike safely to Bolínao. I will stay again next time I have a chance. Be healty and happy^^

It was hard looking for a decent hotel in Alaminos specially during summer. I first booked our stay in a different hotel but something came up and i had to rebook. Fortunately (yes,FORTUNATELY), the hotel i first booked was not available anymore so i had to cancel it and look for another hotel. GOOD THING Northwood Hotel is available and can accommodate us! I booked a room good for 5, it was very spacious, our car was parked just at our doorstep so unloading and loading our things were just a breeze. The hotel is very clean except for the pool which is a little cloudy and greenish. It was a weekday hence we have the area all by ourselves. Total stay in this hotel is perfect! We would definitely come back and its highly recommended. Oh, i almost forgot, water pressure is a little low, so taking a shower will take a little time.

The staff were very helpful, informative, friendly and polite since the first minute. It was very comfortable and the backdrop from the balcony was awesome. Due to lack of time, we couldn't try the pool but I can see that it was managed immaculately. Dont be fooled by the pictures, the room we had definitely felt wider/bigger than we thought. The pool itself is ideal as it did not get crowded and its a far cry from the those couple of negative reviews on it prior to our stay. I regret that we couldn't extend our stay as it was brilliant here. 2 mins walk away from the bus terminal was efficient. It was more than 'value for money'.
