Would stay here again.
Pros:

Rooms are extremely large, comfortable beds and lovely bathrooms. Staff were very helpful even with the language barrier.

Cons:

location was a bit too far from the mall/subway for us but wasn't too much of a issue as we just used grab everywhere.

Amazing Weekend Staycation

I am IHG Spire Elite member. It was our first experience with the hotel. My wife and I had a very refreshing and relaxing weekend. We love to go for long hours walk especially when everything is green or in the autumn season. The location of the hotel really amazed us ~ right at the wetland park. Surrounded by trees and dotted with lakes.

We were warmly welcomed by front desk staff, Bill (prior to my connection with the FOM, Tina). We always like a room with balcony especially in a cool sunny autumn ~ allowed us to relax and unwind. We had a good view room on the 2nd floor.

At breakfast, William and his team were passionate and we enjoyed a selection of our favorites. Chief chef, Frank was present during breakfast time and he initiated to connect with the guests. We had a chance to chat with him. He was very friendly and committed to our request for early dinner to be delivered to our room, as we wanted to dine at the balcony. The rack of lamb and roast pork knuckles were delicious.

We look forward to return again in the future and we strongly recommend this hotel.

Pros:

Hotel is located right inside a beautiful park. Breakfast is awesome and offers a lot of choices, hotel staff is super friendly and helpful.
Only the gym could offer a little more exercise options, its basically 2 treadmills and 3 different weights.

Only con in my opinion:
It is difficult to get a taxi. Especially as a foreigner without access to AliPay or DiDi (Chinese Uber). Hotel staff will order you a taxi but it takes a while.

Pros:

This hotel is located in lovely park with lake a little bit far from the city. Car drive from Shanghai international airport takes about 2 hours. No restaurants or shopping available in walking distance. In the park area cars are not allowed, but electric carts are available to bring guests to the reception.
One can hear the noise from the speed train passing by, but with closed windows it’s not an issue. Anyway windows should be closed on to avoid the humidity from the lake and the mosquitoes.
Breakfast is reach. Dinner buffet is available only Friday and Saturday when the hotel is full with groups for conferences or local tourists.
Sunday-Thursday burgers available only till 8pm, better to have dinner in town. Food delivery is an option as well.
Rooms are very specious 2-3 times bigger than in Paris. Only the bathroom is with the size of room in Paris.
Coffee, tea, ironing board and iron available in every room.
2 bottles of complimentary water supplied every day in the room.
Very clean and comfortable rooms.
No room service and minibar.

Pros:

My wife and family had a lovely view of the dock area and enjoyed the food and relaxing park area around the Holiday Inn area. We appreciate the Anna (Yufang) the general manager for her hospitality and support during our time at the hotel.
