Location and staff
Paying for parking
Food was ok.
Car parking arrangements rediculous. an account to pay via a QR code and create an account for an overnight stay and then be charged £8.40 for the privilege.
I was there to deliver a course which I have done there for a few years without previous issues. This year the room was so cold, everyone was complaining.
I stayed overnight before the course and was accommodated in room 1. Initially the room was very warm, so the heater was turned off, but it soon went cold due to the bedroom window , which could not be closed.
I notified the hotel that things were not acceptable and it is unlikely that we will be booking the hotel again for our courses.
Good location.
The price was quite expensive for the time of year. £85.50 for one night. Breakfast was £12 extra per person and car park was £8. £117.50 wasn’t value for money
Needs updating
Dated room
Uncomfortable bed
Bathroom was very basic
The real fire was lovely and welcoming
Paying for the parking as a resident of the hotel. The staff that booked us in didn't tell us breakfast times or check out times.
Traditional style says what it is truthfully.
Needs some updating!
The breakfast and the hotel location are The Hand's selling points. A hot and cold buffet breakfast did not disappoint.
The sausages are to die for, accompanied by a choice bacon, fried or scrambled eggs, mushrooms, tomatoes, baked beans, black pudding and hash browns. Toast and slices of white and wholemeal bread are available plus different fruit juices, yogurts, pastries, fresh fruit, cereals and of course, tea and coffee. Something really to suit all tastes.
The town centre location overlooking the river is a winner - just a stone's throw from Llangollen's shops, pubs and tourist attractions.
Our double room on the first floor with en suite shower and toilet was comfortable and clean.
As it was winter and the weather wasn't great we stayed in the room quite a lot. The TV service lacked the full complement of Freeview channels and had no teletext. My partner particularly enjoys the old black and white films on Talking Pictures TV(Channel 82).
Excellent friendly staff. Amazing location and dog friendly also.Loved the fact the room overlooked the River. Would recommend a stay here and will book again.
Great staff and very clean hotel !
The water in the room took to long to heat up
exceptional service and nothing was a problem to us they did every thing / request that we asked
nothing ... and we will definitely be staying here again .
The location was very convenient for the reason for our stay
Whilst there was plenty of availability and choice of food at breakfast the quality was a little poor.
Breakfast GOOD. Thank you
Where was the fixed curtain in the Bedroom 38? I had to assemble the curtain cloth provided with it's ties.
Very strange indeed. Still it worked.
It convenient but basic and dated.
Bed was terrible. Shower very small and either roasting hot or cold. Was ok for 1 night stop over but not worth £90
