Pros:

On our last day we finaly got to speak to a staff member that actualy understood the room was of a substandard quality . Nowhere near what we have had in our previous visits . Hopefully these rooms will be taken our of use till upgrades are completed.

Cons:

The ambience of the building is superb. Luxury feeling is flowing around . The breakfast is more that capable to fill any travelers requests . Parking is free and has camera security with easy rejestering at the reception .

Great location with parking but the breakfast needs improvements.
Pros:

Hotel is next to city centre. Ideal for access to various venues and restaurants in the area. City centre parking is a bonus.

Cons:

The full English breakfast had dry bacon, overcooked fried eggs, poor quality sausages and rubbery black pudding. My wife’s poached eggs were more like semi hard boiled eggs on toast, fortunately she could add baked beans for some moisture.
The restaurant manager would benefit from randomly trying some of the offerings for him/herself.

Fabulous Hotel in a great location.
Pros:

My lovely large standard room with an enormous bed. Windows that opened. Easy check in, friendly staff and overall a lovely comfortable hotel in a good location.

Cons:

The hot and cold water trickled out of the bathroom taps and the taps were so close to the basin that you could hardly get your hands under.

Apart from that there was nothing else I didn't like.

Relaxing stay in a magnificent building
Pros:

I had a great week at The Midland. It's a magnificent building in remarkable condition, a proper grand hotel. It also has the huge benefit of a car park, which was one less thing to think about. The staff were considerate, helpful and unfailingly polite, and the room was comfortable and warm

Cons:

Nothing!

Hotel is not worth paying for a three star review
Pros:

Location and parking

Cons:

Rooms, overall decor and the fact that rooms were dated. Very basic facilities in the room compared to premier inn and travelodge. This is not a three star hotel. Booking.com has given it better ratings which is appalling
