The environment was peaceful and quiet.
- inconvenient unless you have a car. Very
limited shuttle service provided by the
ryokan. Fees for shuttle to nearby ski
areas by ryokan each way is too high
you are a big group.
-staff are not friendly and never smiling.
-Breakfast is pretty much the same every
day.
-Was very disappointed that the outdoor
onsen wasn’t opened for use. I saw it in
photos on the website and was looking
forward to it.
- Was horrified to see black fungus on the
ceilings and walls in the Onsen facility.

We found the staff very helpful and really appreciated the private shuttle bus to get us to ski resorts and town. Very responsive to what’s app messages. Our rooms were very spacious and comfortable and so nice having Onsen in the Ryokan.
This property is gorgeous and provides authentic Japanese hospitality. The onsen is lovely and very relaxing especially after a strenuous day of exercise. The breakfast was outstanding.
It would have been even better if the outdoor onsen was also available.
Everything, 2 teenagers and mum and dad. We loved our stay, great location, team were always accommodating, food exceptional. Highly recommend and would go back! Thanks.
Lovely, spacious ryokan. Very clean, great breakfast. Little bit removed from Myoko Onsen village (10-15 minutes walk) but very close to Myoko Kogen lift area. A pleasure to stay!

Not only is this lodge one of kind, the owners and staff set it apart by offering a very special experience for all guests. We arrived late in the evening and were greeted by the owner welcoming us in and getting us settled in our room. They made sure we got sorted in the morning and ready for our Myoko Adventure. We will be back, only question is how many times!!!

We really enjoyed our stay, the onsen was amazing after skiing everyday. The rooms were so cozy with very comfortable beds.
It was great! Onsen and hospitality were outstanding. They drove us everywhere which was great with kids and ski gear. Ski lifts are within easy walking distance.
Sleeping the whole family in the same room is the only thing you need to consider and we managed it well.
Ryokan Okayama is incredibly beautiful, a very comfortable place to spend time when not on the slopes. Our hosts were gracious and the food was delicious. Will definitely stay here again.
