Historic hotel with plenty of character.
Pros:

I stayed for three nights at the historic Hotel Corones in Charleville. It's a wonderful old building with plenty of character and history, which made the stay an experience in itself.
The accommodation has shared bathroom facilities, but it provided a convenient base for exploring Charleville and its many attractions.
Overall, an enjoyable stay in a fascinating historic hotel.

Being an old building the floor boards were extremely creaky and sharing a bathroom was not expected or wanted

Pros:

I liked how there is a history connected to the building. They had dinner for downstairs and I was given the key to open my room with air conditioning that they had and they had free water.

Cons:

When I was trying to find the light to turn on I could not find it and it was hard for me to even find the toilet myself and I waited a long time for dinner to be served and I could not turn on the tv.

comfortably say a let down
Pros:

it was an obvious choice online yet did NOT live up to its hype in real life the room did however sleep up to 6 and the fan in the master room if turned on sounded like an aeroplane propellor so that option was out.

Cons:

we were out the back of the main building if we had known this we would have NEVER BOOKED.
No food on premises had to go look elsewhere.

Sorry very poor standard of accommodation. Also no meals served and it was a working Hotel.
Pros:

The staff behind the bar were great and the free drink due to our issues was appreciated.

Cons:

Could not get into the door of one of the rooms and could not open from inside the room. Had to enter and leave from the back door onto the verandah. There was no hot water for a shower in that same room.
There was no TV remote in the second room, so could not watch TV and there was no body wash left in the container of the second bathroom or beside the sink.

Shower Flooded from blocked drain. No Soap in Shower. No Meal option on Sunday nightg - Not Advertised. Booked 2 rooms and one did not have fridge.

Comfortable traditional pub stay
Pros:

A historic building with rooms set up just as they have done for a hundred years. My room had a private bathroom.
The rooms are smaller than modern hotel rooms, but very practical for a single person needing a place to lodge for the night. Definitely feels like you're a part of living history.
Room had a mini fridge, microwave and kettle.

This was the second time we stayed, on our return trip yesterday, we stayed at the opposition motel.
Pros:

Location is fantastic, central to town, has great potential.

Cons:

Manager appeared bored, uninterested and reticent to help. There was no spare blanket in the room, when I asked for one, I was walked through the hotel section and given a single bed blanket, we had to use towels on the bed to keep warm. The ensuite door was off its track and could not be closed, the toilet leaked water on to the floor.
