THE LOCATION WAS GOOD AND CLOSE TO HOTEL AND BOTTLESHOP , WE FOUND IT VERY HARD TO FIND TAKEAWAY FOOD IN THE TOWN

FLOORS COULD HAVE BEEN CLEANER IN THE ROOMS, WE STAYED 3 NIGHTS AND HAD TO GO BUY TOILET PAPER AND TEA AND COFFEE AS NOTHING WAS REPLACED AND DOORS DONT LOCK PROPERLY

Pros:

Historic Hotel with an abundance of character, you really felt you were back a century or longer. I stayed in one of the original rooms on the top floor, very high ceilings and original fittings. I enjoyed the stay and slept well there. I didn't see the 'ghost'. I would happily stay there again.

Cons:

I had shared ablutions which was fine, but there could have been something more in the showers to put your clothing on while showering, just one chair for two showers.

Arrive during the work week to get a clean room.
Pros:

Location was good and architecture of the building was beautiful.

Cons:

Bathroom was not cleaned prior to my arrival or during my stay. Balcony was not accessible directly from the bedroom but had to go down the hall to access it.

The facilities are excellent, lots of little areas to explore. The staff are great. Great town too, plenty to do for a few days.
