Lovely clean and well appointed hotel

Konnten aufgrund Wetterwarnungen nicht anreisen
Pros:

Das die Damen, die man anrief (gehe davon aus, dass es Sekretärinnen waren) sehr nett, voll verständnisvoll, total informiert über die Wetterwarnung und gut Deutsch konnten.

Cons:

Wir haben die Unterkunft einen Tag vor Anreise gebucht. Am Morgen der geplanten Anreise wurde in der gesamten Steiermark ein behördlicher Notfallalarm (AT-Alert) wegen massiver Schneefälle ausgesendet. In TV und Radio wurde laufend über schwere Verkehrsbehinderungen, Unfälle, umgestürzte Bäume und Stromausfälle berichtet. Es wurde ausdrücklich empfohlen, unnötige Autofahrten zu vermeiden und nach Möglichkeit zu Hause zu bleiben.
Da wir mit zwei Kindern gereist wären und die Strecke Richtung slowenischer Grenze laut Medien besonders betroffen war, haben wir uns aus Sicherheitsgründen gegen die Anreise entschieden.
Wir haben dem Hotel die offizielle Warnmeldung sowie Zeitungsberichte übermittelt. Die Kommunikation war grundsätzlich möglich (Deutschkenntnisse vorhanden), dennoch wurde eine kostenlose Stornierung oder Gutschrift (zahlten im Vorhinein) für ein anderes Datum abgelehnt. Es wurde die volle No-Show-Gebühr in Höhe des gesamten Aufenthalts verrechnet.
Rechtlich mag dies den Buchungsbedingungen entsprechen, menschlich hätten wir uns in einer außergewöhnlichen Wettersituation mehr Verständnis und Entgegenkommen gewünscht.
