Nice family staycation in the north of Bandung city

A grand old dame hotel - in a lovely part of Bandung x
Pros:

Loved the decor, it was slightly aged marble and fun campy Art Deco - as the hotel name suggests!

The room was more than fine - bed was super comfy. The shower pressure was good, toiletries good, clean towels, fair service from reception, great service on the rooftop at breakfast.

The view is amazing from both the balcony and the rooftop bar across Bandung. Very reasonable price for what was offered.

Cons:

Felt the reception team could have been more welcoming, but they got there in the end! And even though everything was clean enough - I feel that there could have been a bit more polish to the rooms and the bathrooms and the balcony - which is quite dusty but the AC units are there as well. The shower area is really quite cramped but I think it's clever how it's been designed and you can't say they haven't done the best with the space they had there!

The rooftop pool was noisy for me and unfortunately when I was there it was full of children and families from an early hour, plus it closed early (around 6pm) so didn't get a chance to swim and exercise or relax by the pool there. But that's not a flaw of the hotel - it's just how it worked out during my stay there!

The wifi is a bit iffy though... so maybe not a working transit hotel really...

Pros:

Prachtig uitzicht vanaf de 10e verdieping waar zowel het restaurant als het zwembad zich bevinden. De kamers waren luxe en mooi ingericht. Het zit in een welvarende wijk en er zijn leuke restaurant opties op loopafstand.

Fantastische locatie boven op berg....supermooi uitzicht. Wel iets verder van centrum maar met een grab ben je zo waar je wil zijn. Supervriendelijk personeel. Mooi zwembad. Geweldig ontbijt. Mooie kamer.

Prachtig buiten het seizoen
Pros:

Ontbijt was fantastisch!

Cons:

Zwembad sluit al om 18 uur, na een dag excursie dus geen gebruik hier meer van mogen maken, zonde!! Er waren heel veel kinderen aan het schreeuwen in het hotel, voor 6 uur in de ochtend al over de gangen rennen, deuren slaan, hard schreeuwen. Ook het ontbijt verliep erg chaotisch waardoor er geen plaats meer was en veel eten lag op de grond.
