I love the room itself and the location is also very nice
What I didn’t like is that toilet amenities are upon request, arrived late and nothing was there I didn’t really like to wait for it. But it’s not too important, everything else was great!
Prachtig hotel, vrij nieuw, vriendelijk personeel en top locatie. Mooie kamers. Rooftop is mooi!

The location was great, room is beautiful & breakfast was exceptional - food was of a high standard and staff was pleasant and very helpful. Can’t fault the breakfast team at all. The room is clean, well designed and modern. Design of hotel is tasteful and a real relaxation haven when you return from the busy city. Nice special touches in the room like thoughtful guest gifts.
Reception staff. They aren’t welcoming when checking in. Not friendly at all. When checking out, we were overcharged for breakfast and only after we paid the bill, did we see that they charged us for an extra breakfast every day. We had settled the account so had to be refunded and checkout was a confusing mess. They cancelled our room cards after paying the bill even though we said we were not checking out, so we could not access our room to get luggage. Reception staff did not send anyone to assist with luggage collection in room. The front desk staff services need to be more streamlined, efficient and definitely more friendly. Not up to 5-star standard. Rest of the staff were amazing.
Perfect stay from start to finish. The service was exceptional, the food and drinks were fantastic, and the team made the experience feel very personal with thoughtful touches throughout. 10/10, would highly recommend to everyone.
Amazing hotel, modern and elegant. Good adjustment option for everything in the room (lighting, heating) to make it comfy for own taste. Very attentive and friendly staff, delicious breakfast including local specialties and a la carte options. Beautiful spa & fitness area in the basement, which we didn't make use of (due to lack of time in only a weekend) but had a quick look.
The location is perfect, in the middle between the harbor area and Sagrada Familia / Park Guell on the other side. Everything walkable (if you like walking, it is still a distance but absolutely possible - we walked everywhere).
Staff were very welcome. Location is excellent. Room was spacious and elegant. Mini bar was packed with exquisite drinks. Rooftop bar views were amazing. Will definitely stay here again
Amazing rooms, staff and stay. Excellent luxury hotel. Perfectly located close to shopping, attractions, restaurants and Metro. Staff go above and beyond to make you feel special. Will stay here again if we return to Barcelona.
We just came back from a family vacation from Barcelona & had a wonderful stay at the Almanac. The hotel is in a great neighborhood & centrally located. The room was comfortable (bed was a bit hard) but overall wonderful. The staff is amazing! They were super friendly & very helpful. I would definitely stay there again.

From the moment we arrived in the Almanac, we were treated so well. The staff are friendly, efficient and so well trained for their job. The hotel itself is beautiful--spotlessly clean, quiet (despite being on a busy central street) and you get the most fabulous view of Barcelona from the rooftop bar. We spent 4 wonderful days there and we're missing it!
Recently stayed at Almanac Barcelona. Staff, especialy front desk and bell staff, were very friendly and helpful. When I arrived by car, they were right there to take my bags and offered a complementary cava! The reception and bell staff were extememly efficient and helpful throughout.
I had an 'early check in if available' and was told around 11:30 that my room would be ready in about 40 minutes, so decided to wait rather than leave my bags and get a late breakfast (hadn't yet eaten that day) or do something. But, an hour later the room was still not ready and it was about an hour and a half before I was in the room. This was time wasted. I would have preferred to be told to come back in a few hours instead of waiting the entire time in the lobby.
Room was very nice, spacious and elegantly designed, but the shower is a rain shower or hand held only. No way to mount the hand held so you can shower without getting your hair wet which means you always have to be holding the sprayer with one hand. I do run into this occasionally at hotels, but luckily not that often.
At the restaurant Virens, breakfast was excellent, but dinner was disappointing. The menu is a bit fussy and mostly plant based and high carb--the rice-based bowls are over EUR 30 and are not-pallela and not-risotto but basically rice with some very small morsels of meat and some veg, depending on what you order. The flavors were nice but it seems wildly overpriced for what it is, and few other options for those of us who watch their carb intake. On the plus side our server recommended a very nice wine which was well priced. Service was good.
