That was really pleasure staying @ Hotel Greensgate for a day. Clean Rooms, Good Service, Easy Check-in and Check-outs, cloe proximity to all business chambers and tourist spots. Rates are really reasonable for their amenities and service.5 stars*****.

An exotic business class hotel i n chennai with close proximity to Dr.MGR Chennai Central Railway Station and even suits very much for family or with friends for any party or travel requirements. One of the best in class 2 start hotels in chennai city filled with all amenities required for a business or corporate or a sales person.I highly recommend this hotel for its hygiene and facilities.

Had pleasant experience In the past
It’s very noisy. Front desk folks had a don’t care attitude especially one by name MINI in front desk check in . She behaved very rudely. Had a challenge just to check in. Now need to see how my stay goes now. Fingers crossed 🤞🏽

Truth of the matter is we checked out after a few hours and went to a better hotel. This was such a bad hotel in a grotty filthy stinking rubbish littered back street. The room had no towels, no toilet paper, no hot water and stank of damp, the sheets were stained and there was mould in the wardrobe etc etc and we had booked a DELUXE ROOM! Hate to think what their standard rooms are like. Reception spoke hardly any to no English at all and we kept asking for toilet paper and towels and they kept saying 'yes, we bring' and just never did. Bizarrely they kept pumping out awful music all over the hotel really loud, so it's really not peaceful to even be in your room. Eventually after a few hours, when we said we're checking out and leaving they suddenly spoke English and showed us other rooms, pleading with us to stay. The rooms were clearly damp and not good for your health. Anyway, we walked up the road and found a good, much better proper hotel and stayed there! It's a good location as it's close to the main railway station if you are getting a train, but otherwise not a good area to stay in Chennai.

The GG does not provide shuttle service, you have to make your own way as we did by pre-booking a Taxi.
A bit hidden from the main road, the lane way is quiet grotty & could be a turnoff to some visitors.
The room is basic, even though the sheets looked laundered a few slight stains could be seen. This might be a good chance for the hotel to improve this area.
We needed a Taxi for few hours & the gentleman who organised it was very obliging.
Our breakfast was a buffet & the young attendant made sure we had everything we needed.
Sure we would stay there again.

Room was decent nd perfect for 3 family bed nd Pellow is awesome they provide food in rooms plus point good specious room only thing is power cut that always happens in Chennai whole city !

I booked a hotel without breakfast because room including breakfast it was costing me Rs.1800. But without breakfast it costed me Rs.1100. Which is decent enough for a long stay. Rooms were clean and neat. Overall hotel was very good.

I faced problem while Check-in. We had a early check-in. So we called up the hotel reception just before the booking. They confirmed that room is available and we'll getting early check-in. When we arrived hotel at 5am we asked for check-in. The receptionist said that rooms are full right now. Once any guests does check-out then they'll be able to provide us room.

As we had to leave for Pondicherry at 8am, I requested him again and again to allot us a room. So that we could atleast rest for an hour and then leave for Pondicherry.

But receptionist at that moment was not at all cooperative. He made us wait till 5.50 am on reception. Then he alloted us a room. And no guest had done check-out in that time period, as we were right there at reception meanwhile. Which means that receptionist didn't allot a room by purpose. We requested him many times. But he denied.

A bit of cooperation is expected from hotel when we are travelling with such a busy schedule. I regret booking with this hotel just because of poor check-in experience. Otherwise hotel was really good.

I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights. The hotel is just opposite ribbon building very close to central railway station.The hotel is well maintained and clean but a few things need attention.
1 - Mattress for the bed is not good. It's a spring type and was poking when I slept on it. Needs to be changed.
2 - Bathrooms though they were clean but since I had a deluxe room the AC outlet water in the bathroom kept it wet most of the time plus water marks.
3 - No Hot water available for taking bath but since the weather was hot when I visited it was not a big problem.
4 - I had a plan with free breakfast & either lunch or dinner. But by free dinner they meant upto Rs 150 worth food (alacarte) at the restaurant.

Excluding these few things everything else was good and it was a Value For Money Stay.
The staff behaviour was good too.

Pros:
1) located in close vicinity of Chennai central and Park metro station.
2) restaurant attached serves nice food.
3) friendly and polite staff.

Cons:
1) noisy ambiance
2) very small rooms. No place even to walk.

Conclusion: owing to its location and reach from chennai central and Park station I feel it is good property for people traveling through railways. Basically good hotel for petty businessman visiting Chennai. Not recommended for family.

I had booked 2 rooms in both rooms AC was not working. When I told about same to staff member they just told will try make alternate arrangements, but nothing was done. Hence suggesting to avoid this hotel.
You can get AC rooms cheaper than this and on the location. Hence avoid this hotel.

Note: Would like to add here that it is difficult to adjust in Chennai without AC for a traveller as it is humid in Chennai and in summer season it is difficult to bear the climate.

Nice hotel, nice food, nice service, but they offer 24 hours check in only if you book directly, any online booking is form 12-12 only,
additional guests are charged heavily.
Nearness to Chennai central is a plus

Hotel interior is good. Rooms are clean and good. Room service was good. Hotel situated in a small street. Location is good. Plenty of restaurant near by. Stayed with family for a day, hotel was calm and peaceful. Hot water is available 24hrs.Overall a good stay and definitely recommend

The room is like a cellar or dungeon with no access to fresh air or sunlight. Still worse, there is a tank which could be anything from a Septic Tank to a Drinking Water Sum the manhole cover of which we step on while walking within the room. The AC works well and so does the back up generator. Twnty four hour supply of hot water is most welcome but the quality of bath water is unspeakable with high salinity as the most prominent issue. There is a tiny restayrant attached to the hotel which is not bad. The access road is a nightmare. Prices are way above the services and facilities.

When we visited the access to the hotel was flooded and terrible noise from drilling machines. Had a really hard time and left the hotel next day. Management informed us that the situation was out of their limits. Difficult for Uber drivers to locate.

the 🏨 is good and the facility is OK for its grade. the environment is not much expected for a tourist attraction hotel. If we understood the environment of Chennai then the environment is not much undesirable.

good and safe to stay with family. this hotel is very close to chennai railway station; only walking distance. staffs are nice and they provide free breakfast that is very delicious too. i am very happy to recomment this to anyone.

I stay regularly and my overall experience is very nice... The front desk guys are very polite and helpful for any needs... The restaurant menu is ok...Room service is faster... Walkable distance from Chennai central and Metro.
