A great stay
Pros:

We stayed in a ‘comfy’ room but it was lovely. Breakfast was delicious with lots of choice.

Disappointed,preferred the hotel before the refurbishment. All the little extras which made the stay special,have all go
Pros:

We enjoyed breakfast,the ingredients are always good quality.

Cons:

Unfortunately the room allocated on arrival,was not to our taste. My husband referred to it as the crypt. Dark,Dingy!! Also could smell dog. We did change rooms the next day. We decided to leave early after a poor nights sleep. Due to noise from downstairs.

Wonderful stay but a bit noisy if you are in a room over the pub!
Pros:

The location is ideal and the refurbishment has been completed to a high standard. Staff were extremely helpful and accommodating.

Cons:

Our room was directly above the bar and it did not have effective soundproofing or complimentary earplugs.

Wonderful. Only criticism was that it was too short.
Pros:

Great food, great staff, comfy beds, good atmosphere. Really happy I stayed here. The Hoste has been at the heart of the village for years. In recent times it has rather dipped and it is lovely to see it coming back.

Beautiful, cosy hotel in a lovely location. Very good breakfast and the food in the restaurant was good too.
Nice pub attached.

Cons:

Dogs were allowed in all areas. As someone who is allergic to many dogs there was no where to sit where We were guaranteed not to be near one.

Pros:

A gem. Great location for exploring the area or even if you just want to enjoy the hotel and the peacefulness of the countryside. The rooms are spacious, bright, got everything you need. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Breakfast and dinner were delicious (best fish&chips I’ve had), staff is lovely, design was warm. Will definitely be back.

Cons:

Stairs to the second floor rooms, with no lift. Also an amenity kits in the bathroom would have been nice addition.
