Staff were genuine, interested and all had a smile in their face. They accommodated us very well .It was a great family oriented hotel and made us feel at home. Breakfast was exceptionally good with a wide range of items and it is served as an open buffet. Love the location and it is great to be able to watch the balloons from the rooftop.

Adoramos a nossa estadia no Safran Hotel! A localização é perfeita, a poucos metros do centro de Goreme. O pequeno almoço é maravilhoso, com opções locais e muito caseiro. Adoramos a experiência. O Humayun ajudou-nos a organizar a nossa estadia com a sugestão de tours. Foi incansável antes e durante a estadia a esclarecer todas as nossas questões. O Burak também foi sempre incansável, sempre com boas sugestões.

The property itself is very cute and decorated well. The terrace and restaurant above have wonderful views of the city and hot air balloons. Humayun and Burak were extremely helpful, responsive, and booked the exact excursion I wanted conveniently and at a fair price. They made the place feel very welcoming and I highly recommend staying here.

This hotel located just about 5mins walk to Goreme town. The facilities were clean and comfortable. We booked 2types of rooms and both are satisfied. The staff are very friendly. The breakfast was variety and we love the fact that the owner herself has prepared that. Taste home cooked meal prepared for the family.

Feride was an excellent host and made sure our short stay was as good as it can be.
Everything was good , specially breakfast and Mr Burak n Humanyun were very helpful and well mannered .
Late checkout should be offered as due to different timings of flights , guests feel difficulty

Internet was very poor and the tour prices they quoted were not competitive with what is available online or in the town. Technically not a problem more of a buyer beware statement.
The hotel is very nice, built and decorated as a cave; we liked the decoration, with lots of wood and local details such as carpets and lamps, very much. The rooms were spatious and comfortable, and, importantly, they were very well heated during the cold Cappadocian winter weather. Breakfast was very tasty and appropriate for any taste. The atmosphere in the hotel is great: the breakfast room is a closed terrace with an excellent view of the valley, there is also an open terrace upstairs from which balloon flights can be observed, and the other guests were very kind. Last but not least, the hotel owners were extremely helpful, responsive and kind to us, always ready to help. This is definitely one of the best hotels we have stayed in, and we strongly recommend it to anyone willing to spend time in Göreme.

What truly sets Safran apart is that it’s family-run, and you feel that immediately. From being warmly welcomed by the owner at reception to seeing his mom lovingly prepare breakfast each morning, the place genuinely feels like a home rather than just a hotel. There’s heart in every detail.
The advice on tours was invaluable — honest guidance, great support with arrangements, and help securing fair prices without falling into the usual tourist traps. That alone made our experience in Cappadocia even more special and stress-free.
Breakfasts were delicious and satisfying, and the cave rooms were comfortable, clean, and more than adequate for both a short stay or even a longer visit of a few days.
