It was all lovely- very friendly and kind staff, lovely location, beautiful spa, great breakfast.
The bedroom was a bit too hot.
Spa was excellent
Nothing
We were very impressed with the cleanlinless of the whole hotel, the public areas and the bedrooms. We were delighted with the service from Ram in the Brasserie for our afternoon tea, she really made a fuss of my mother who was celebrating her 80th birthday and went out of her way to accommodate 2 members of the family who have coeliac disease. The staff throughout were courteous and polite. The spa faciitlies are 2nd to none
Breakfast was the only thing that left a slight negative on what would otherwise be a perfect weekend. The 2 coeliac members of our party were limited to what they could have. Some foods that are usually considered gluten free were labelled as containing gluten such as bacon, cornflakes and rice krispies. There was no sausage or bread either, so they were unable to have the full English that they had wanted. I appreciate that you need to be able to accommodate a lot of people in the spa but 2 hours went over far too quickly.
The food was exceptional, the staff were great & the spa was the best we have used.
Nothing
Exceptional
Possibly the best breakfast in a Hotel rver
Na
Lovely hotel I have known this place since my childhood living in the area.
Even after I moved away I come back to the lakes ( Keswick) at least twice a year, it's still my home.
I like all the hotels owned by this family. And frequent all of them.
This was a treat with all my family.
After unfortunately being given a room with two dog beds in, I had to ask for another room as I'm allergic to animal hairs and certainly wouldn't want to sleep in a room that was dog friendly. It was dealt with professionally, but did feel that dogs were a priority over tha humans.
Your area that dogs are allowed probably would be more hygienic if you had tiles than carpet and maybe not allow dogs on the sofas and chairs.
My family have dogs and they also agree that animals are pets for themselves and shouldn't be on beds and furniture.
Breakfast was fantastic & staff really friendly
Spa didn’t quite meet expectations:( water was a bit cold and not as good as other spas visited .
I liked the location that was all
The standard of the room. The single mattresses pushed together, high prices for low quality rooms
The spa was amazing
£7.10 for a pint of lager is excessive, the mattress was a bit too firm
