- Great location.
- Lovely, helpful staff.
- There was a dog friendly dining area (and he was allowed a sausage at breakfast).
- No air conditioning in our bedroom. (There was a fan.)
- Spa was very nice, but I thought the £45 charge for residents was a bit steep. I only wanted to swim in a pool.
Fabulous location. Smart decor
Fake handpumps for beer. No milk in room. Lack of info on how to get to Lodore eaterfalls and ferry
We liked the location and the view
The staff, unhelpful and rude. Also the room was very hot, and the windows hadn’t been cleaned for years.
Location, cleanliness
Some (not all) staff in both the hotel and spa area were rude.
Location and facilities
Food in Brasserie evening meal very expensive
Staff very good and made us welcome
Air conditioning inrooms, more sunbeds around pool
Location
No air on and that didn’t seem to say so on the website.
We stayed when it was hot and it was difficult to sleep. If we had known there was no air on we wouldn’t have stayed there.
The menu was OK but not exceptional. The restaurant service was rather slow and on both occasions we ordered red wine when they took our order but it only arrived with our main course with the bottle unopened. This didn’t give it time to breathe. We drank some of it with our meal but to most of it outside to drink. This really spoiled our meal. One of the bottles which was opened at the table had a dry cork and some of it remained in the bottle. The waitress took it away to get someone to remove the rest of the cork then brought it back. This didn’t bode well for a 4 star hotel
Hotel staff welcoming, food at the pan Asian restaurant exceptional, location stunning, spa facilities lovely with amazing views and best facial treatment ever and good breakfast with lots of choice
There were a lot of rules around the spa and while the staff were generally lovely there was a lot of inflexibility from the management. We visited during a heat wave and bedroom had no air conditioning so didn’t sleep well at all. Fan provided in room but made no difference. Twin room was very small.

The facility is fantastic, the spa is beautiful we really enjoyed our stay
The food menus read really nice but it just didn’t hit the spot. We aren’t complaining in anyway as the stay was brilliant just thought the finished food could have been way better. That would have really topped off a brilliant few days away
Wonderful position
Breakfasts were debatable- slightly overcooked and dry
Location was lovely.
Shower was weak. Breakfast was average. Double bed was two single beds.
Excellent location with great dining and very nice and helpfull staff. We enjoyed lake view room.
Absolutely stunning location. The whole experience from the stay, spa and treatments to the Asian restaurant were all fabulous.
Room was a little warm, however the weather was extremely warm.
Absolutely stunning the whole experience from the stay out spa time and the Asian restaurant , you will never be disappointed in a night here
The room was a little hot but that just being a little picky
