The spa and pan Asian restaurant
The size of the bedroom
areas reserved because a wedding was on
Loose falls hotel is in the greatest of locations the hotel was spotless clean and comfortable in the bar and restaurants the are downstairs is great
The rooms are small and dated with a lack of air con I know it sounds picky but at the price you pay we expect it over price I thought
The view and location were out of this world. The hotel itself is beautiful. The spa was really good - definitely recommend if a tad pricey. Staff are very lovely. The gardens are beautiful and I thoroughly enjoyed my evening sat outside with a drink looking at the view!
Ok so the rooms are a bit dated. Not a massive issue in itself but the room we were originally in you could hear fhe generator all night. The rooms themselves are really too hot - if wasn’t an overly warm night and sleep was difficult. We had to have the windows open and loads of bugs came in! Thankfully the manager moved us to a different room which was much better but still super hot with the sound of the generator. Also the fire alarm went off at around 6am due to something burning in the kitchen. So unfortunately not a great stay or nights sleep. The Asian restaurant is average. Breakfast also average. Such a shame because this could really be a magnificent hotel if they installed some AC and updated the rooms.
Lovely hotel & friendly staff.
We thought breakfast was excellent
We are old and were on the third floor. We had to use the stairs when the small lift was busy. We think there should be a short hand rail at the top of the third floor stairs, to make going down the first few steps safer. Please do have a look at that. Also we’d have liked to make done hot chocolate before going to bed!
Great location
Nothing
Location,view,the spa
Inconsistent service, room v hot, bar was overly bright and no music which meant there was no atmosphere
The location and view is just perfect. The staff are all very welcoming, attentive, and very accommodating. The food is excellent (Mizu restaurant) and breakfast had a great selection. The spa experience (including treatments) was a highlight and I can now see why you need to pay extra for this!
The rooms themselves aren’t great, and I feel you are definitely paying for the view and location rather than the stay itself. Our room wasn’t too clean, the mattress was very uncomfortable and the room itself really needs AC as the small fan provided only blows hot air around and made it very difficult to sleep! These things wouldn’t stop me returning as I think the positives make up for it.
Everything
No fridge in the room and no access to cold water all the bottled water we had to buy was warm
The hotel is set in the most beautiful location and the staff are super helpful and friendly. The rooms are decorated to a high standard.
There were minor signs of wear and tear in the room and within the spa BUT that’s if I really had to pick an issue! this did not affect our stay/experience in the slightest.
The comfy sofas dotted around the place
Being charged for water in the brasserie
The location is second to none, as were every single one of the staff apart from one very surly receptionist. The food in both the Falls and Mizu Restaurants was first class and the hotel is beautifully furnished. The room were a little on the small size and unbearably hot, the bathrooms were very well appointed and the whole hotel was spotlessly clean.
The temperature of the rooms, although it was hotter than normal for the UK, it was only low to mid 20's degrees and the rooms were stifflingly hot - mine more so than my son's room. A very small fan was provided, but utterly useless. it was unbearable and almost impossible to sleep. For a hotel of this quality and price, this is unacceptable and they need to find a better solution than saying its a heatwave and fans are provided - that is not good enough when you are charging in excess of £300 a night for a standard room. Also the wifi didn't work in my room ( it did everywhere else in the hotel) and the shower could not be switched between the rainfall and hand held shower heads - my son had the same problem in his room too. And the most annoying thing is despite paying in excess of £300 for the room, they wanted an extra fee of £45 per person for 2 hours in the Spa - that frankly is taking the mickey and many of the guests though this was ridiculous - ok some people want the whole Spa experience and that is fair enough, but we only wanted a quick dip in the outdoor pool and to want an extra £45 for that just taints the whole experience - if they charged say £15 just to swim then may be a solution. Also they tried to charge us for having a dog in the room, and when we said we didn't have a dog, just a surly 'well we will remove that from the bill' from the receptionist, no apology, made it seem like it was our fault!
Beautiful location, the scenery was divine and the staff were very friendly
I found it very difficult to sleep on the first night as the room next to me had a dog, that was barking too often. They also were smoking on their balcony, so if I had my balcony doors open my room would smell of cigarettes.
