Excellent service from arrival to departure. We had large lovely room with great views and was allowed to take our dog in with us. A lot of places only give you the small modest rooms if you take a dog.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Our border collie was completely spoilt, given a bed to lie on when we ate, water bowl, treats and lots of fuss which she loved and with wonderful grounds for to run in she was a happy dog.Nothing was too much trouble, Shannon,Joana, Ollie, Geveena, Victoria and all the others are a credit to Cricklade and if we are back in the area we will definitely rebook. Thanks for making our stay a great one 😊

Advertised as having a golf course but didn’t, bedroom had been decorated but furniture was falling apart.

Need a full length mirror in room that was missing and some kind of wardrobe hanging on the wall on a rack not ideal … we enjoyed otherwise our stay… also my toilet the window was to big and the fan is not good and opening the window I was on display specially when having a shower .. also our room is on the car park and difficult to get change in the dark as when opening the windows everybody could see me !!

. Facilities were lovely
I booked and paid in advance for a superior double room with a view, expecting that this is what we would receive upon arrival. However, when we checked in, the receptionist did not inform me that we had actually been placed in a standard double room instead.
After seeing the room and comparing it to the photos from my booking, I raised the issue and was then told that there were no superior rooms left—despite the fact that this is what I had reserved well in advance. I was told they would look into it and call me back, but ultimately nothing could be done.
The only compensation offered was a free dinner, which did not feel appropriate given the circumstances.
This stay was meant to be a birthday treat for my mum, so the situation was especially disappointing. As a result, we ended up leaving and moving to another hotel at 16:30—time that should have been spent relaxing.
I won’t be returning. I would strongly advise others to double-check their room upon arrival, as it seems you may not be informed if you’ve been given something different from what you booked.
