Stayed a few times at the Lea Gate - was fine, but the room I stayed in had a fair bit of mould on it. Could do with a spring clean! Staff friendly though and value-wise it's inexpensive.
Value
The hotel is conveniently situated to Preston, reasonably priced. The double bed is unusually high which made getting in and out different! Staff were pleasant
Very basic and in need of some tlc
A nice comfy room and good bathroom
We only stayed for a quick one night stop, but check in staff very friendly and room clean, with all we needed.
Food at restaurant was ok but staff not the most welcoming.
Nice spot
Basic accommodation, but ok for our 2 night stay. Quiz night at Hungry Horse next door was fun on the Friday night! Food was nice.
The property is on the outskirts of Preston City Centre with easy access off and to the motorway.
The family room was well laid out, comfortable and clean. There was no cooling in the room (Summer) and a medium thick duvet which is not conducive to a great nights sleep but overall, a good stay.the only negative comment.
Iwe had a good overnight stay.
Easy to access, enough free parking, bar/eatery's, clean and quiet
Very reasonably priced and comfortable enough considering, the room was however very warm and difficult to get comfortable to sleep in
Excellent
We liked our stay both times ,the reception lady is very helpful and pleasant.
The room very clean and comfortable .
Tea and coffee sachets etc refilled daily ,and the place smelt fresh and clean .
My only slight down comment is the rooms are looking a bit tired in places .
Otherwise an excellent place to stop for a couple of nights while visiting friends up north .
The restaurant serves excellent breakfasts at reasonable prices ,and we will be happy to stay again in the future.
A good stay for the price charged.
Reception not manned when we arrived. Had to go over to the pub to find someone to check us in. Room was a bit grubby and could do with re-decorating, lampshade missing, another light not working etc... pop up bed was awful, no padding, so an uncomfortable night for my son. Main bed was OK. Pretty much as expected for the price point, but will consider other options for future visits to the area.
Alex was working behind the Reception desk on the night I arrived and I found him to be a very pleasant, cheerful and helpful young man who knew how to interact with guests. The checking-in procedure was efficient and quick. The room was spacious and clean and the sound-proofing very good. The mattress was very comfortable as I don't like rock-hard mattresses that you tend to get elsewhere so that was a bonus for me. There are plenty of car parking spaces available at both the hotel and the attached Hungry Horse restaurant. Breakfast was a mix of self-service for cereals, toast, coffee and fruit juices with waitress service taking orders for cooked breakfasts. I didn't have to wait long for my cooked breakfast to arrive and it was very good. The price was very reasonable compared with other establishments listed in the search engine results. The location meant that I was only ten minutes away from my client's premises and I arrived for my business meeting in good time feeling refreshed having avoided the stress of a commute on the M6 and M55.
We have had a wonderful stay at LeaGate and the Staff in the hotel were all fantastic. Jane Morgan one of the Receptionists was so kind and went out of her way to help us as we are disabled. She even carried our luggage to our room for us.
We would definitely recommend this hotel.

Jane was amazing behind the front desk super friendly and helpful. I’ve booked again!
Tired
Room ok needs an update as quite old. Comfortable. Dinner at the pub lasagne didn't look very apertising but was ok.
