Great value for money, nice setting. Rooms are clean and have been modernised. Fantastic breakfast.

We’ve eaten at the Holmfield Arms many times over the years so when I was staying in the area for my birthday, I had no hesitation in booking a hotel room. The booking was non refundable (I was aware of this) but in the wee hours of the day I was due to arrive, my dad was rushed to hospital, critically ill with a suspected heart attack. He was resuscitated in the ambulance and we were unsure if he would survive. I could no longer travel as I needed to be with my dad so I asked the hotel if, given the extenuating circumstances, they’d consider refunding the £60 I’d paid. I had a response saying I needed to contact booking.com where I’d booked originally. I did that but the hotel didn’t reply to booking.com nor did they reply to my follow up message. Obviously they’re within their rights to keep the money if that’s what they choose to do but I’d like to hope a compassionate management might consider the request or even as a basic courtesy, just reply to messages during a very traumatic time. It’s not a place I would choose to visit again.

Me and my friends had a lovely meal here! Service was exceptional and the staff were all friendly and welcoming. The food was really tasty and it came out hot and quick. We received several check backs from the staff for drinks and food which was great. We felt really well looked after and will definitely be coming again and recommending to friends and family!

Excellent food and service, Elias and the team were fantastic.

We had the cambebert starter, chicken and ham pie, chicken burger, fish and chips.

Fabulous stay just needed a nice quiet night it was perfect .

I really enjoyed staying in Holmfield hotel for 2 nights. There are two parks surrounding the hotel which makes you feel like living among the woods, very quiet and mind peace. The bar was perfect and served with outstanding breakfast and drinks. Everything was perfect.

Room was well decorated; really clean; couldn't fault it

Nice quite rooms with all you need, ie kettle, plenty of coffee, tea, Sugar and milk. Enough for 2 people for 2 days, having morning and evening drinks.
Breakfast was ok, plenty of choice of cereals, pastries etc and the cooked ENGLISH breakfast was very nice especially the Black Pudding.
The free internet was ok but at the back of the building in the rooms there it was a be sketchy.

Nice comfortable Hotel at a sensible prrice

Hotel had an event in an attached marquee on the Saturday which went on until 12.15am....it was very noisy and no sleep was possible, whilst this was mentioned at check in it was too late to make alternative arrangements .The event impacted the evening meal service as the restaurant was extremely busy with lots of children running around. We asked to be moved to a quieter table and was shown to an app only area ...we used the app to order food and when it arrived( well actually dumped onto the table)we asked for knives and forks to be told there're over there you will have to help yourselves as this is an app only area...so basically no service ...we definitely wouldn't stay there again

Ideal location next to a lovely park, dog friendly, rooms totally safe well thoght out, visiting family in the area so ideal.

Had a very comfortable stay this weekend thank you. Staff were all very welcoming from the receptionists through to the cleaners and staff in the restaurant. Lovely food by the way, breakfast and dinner. Room was really comfortable, clean and fresh towels every day. We will defo be coming back as we all really liked Holmsfield Arms, beautiful surroundings too which really makes it, thank you.

Clean friendly hotel, but walls very thin, person next door snoring all night keeping both of us awake.

Great hotel with a brilliant restaurant! Visiting for work as we have moved and will definitely visit again soon!

Enjoyed my stay - would come back again!

I like a Greene king Inn. The service was friendly and the feel of the place nice. Good rooms, a little dated but for the value quite fair. I will stay here again.
