Very nice and clean local to town nice local pub next door
A lovely small boutique hotel staff extremely friendly and helpful. The room and bed were comfortable and warm. Tea coffee, shortbread, and water provided over our 2 night stay. Excellent shower and a lovely breakfast in the morning with very attentive staff. A very pleasant stay. Thank you to everyone.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. There was a rather eventful night during my stay when a pipe had burst into a room downstairs and the staff had to wake everyone up to check bathrooms but I thought the staff did their absolute best in unusual and unforseen circumstances. Water was off the following morning and they gave me keys to a nearby apartment they also run so I could get a shower. Room was compact but clean and comfortable and just right for what I needed.
Room was a little too hot at times and couldn't quite work out the controls but there was a window that opened so thats good
Really nice wee hotel, small but perfectly formed! Staff were all very nice & hardworking. The room was clean, comfy and well equipped. And the breakfast was super tasty. Just note no lift so get a ground floor room if you have mobility issues. And no carpark.
Warm welcome
Cleaning comfortable room
Good location
I would like to thank all staff for their courtesy and helpfulness during our stay last week.
We’ve stayed a few times at The Ranald and have always enjoyed our visit.
The weather wasn’t particularly good this time but the hotel was warm and welcoming and our G1 room was extremely comfortable.
Add to that, our voucher which we used at Cuan Mor was excellent and we had a lovely meal.
Thank you to everyone at reception, breakfast room and the ladies who kept the hotel clean and tidy.
We enjoyed our stay and will be back.

Just back from a few nights staying in one of the studio apartments here.
We parked our car in the nearby council carpark at Tweedale Street - it is free from 6pm-9am then £1 per hour after that.
The apartment check- in is at the main hotel entrance, and the entrance to the apartments just a few doors away. We were in apartment 13 which was on the top (3rd) floor. There isn't a lift but the stairs were good exercise for us!.
The room was larger than expected and very well laid out. Very clean too.
The little kitchenette had a microwave, oven, hob, fridge and kettle but no toaster. Tea and coffee was provided. It was all we needed to make our own breakfast.
There was plenty of wardrobe space, and a hairdryer and iron was provided.
Very central location, would recommend for anyone looking for somewhere to stay.
Lovely stay in a nice boutique hotel. Small breakfast area but was fine and was good breakfast, just right for staring your day. Staff were very pleasant and friendly.
Only very slight disappointment was the curtain didn’t close fully, a very minor point but something that should have been fixed, also the coffee table was broken and we reported it immediately and asked to be fixed or taken out the room as was a bit dangerous, neither were done.
Was there last weekend very nice hotel rooms are of a very good standard. Breakfast was excellent with a great choice and the staff were lovely... would definitely recommend..
The location is decent and the staff were nice. The breakfast was very good.
The rooms felt a bit dated and damp.
Location staff excellent

Nice Hotel
Great staff
Comfortable bed.
We stayed in the self catering apartments, we had everything we needed for our stay, apartments were lovely.
10 minutes walking distance to everything we needed.
There is no parking at the hotel or apartments but there is a car park less than a minute walk, which costs £18 to park for 24hrs.
Would stay again.
This hotel was nice and tidy with a modern fell about and staff where friendly
Nothing
The staff were so friendly and helpful breakfast was really good rooms were really clean I would certainly stay again and the hotel was central to everything 3 minutes walk to bus terminal and the same to the train station
We really enjoyed our short stay at the Ranald Hotel, and everything was excellent - facilities, comfortable rooms, tasty breakfast, and most importantly, the people. Everyone we met was most helpful, and very personable.
Thank you for putting us up/putting up with us. We will be back.
Just had a lovely few days in a Ranald Apartment. This is our 4th time visiting, once to the hotel and 3 times to the apartments. We really enjoyed the hotel, but the apartments suit us better, though we would recommend both. They are situated in the centre of town, close to shops, bars, restaurants and supermarkets. They are always very clean and have everything we require
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was amazing (cannot recommend the pancakes enough)! The room was quiet and very comfortable. We loved our stay and would love to come back.
The 'Ranald' is an excellent hotel!
Clean, comfortable, friendly and incredibly good value!
I would have to nit-pick, so I would only point out that as the hotel doesn't have any parking spots available, guests would have to park in nearby car parks. But that's not a major problem!
