Hotel is basic, but fine for one night and great for theatre

Nice but need improvement
Pros:

Nice staff, very comfortable beds and good breakfast.

Cons:

No air con or fridge in rooms. Also no cold water at morning and very very wick water pressure in shower...but at least we have got a bath.

It was ok . Lack of working Shower was a big issue especially in the extreme heat

Breakfast was average but service a bit chaotic , location was excellent for the tennis .
Cleaner was good . Room was a very good size

Cons:

I often couldn’t get water from the shower . I might have to wait a while to get any . Staff said it hadn’t happened before but other people also complained . I was top floor and obviously not enough pressure for the shower . No water at all for a bath . It was dealt with very poorly with staff . Probably because they couldn’t solve it Remote not working on television . Again not dealt with well . We had to ask for a fan in the extreme heat . It was not offered

Excellent value and location.
Pros:

Location perfect for tennis at Devonshire Park.
We didn't have breakfast at the hotel so cannot review that. The room was excellent, plenty of power sockets, very clean, the bathroom was in excellent order with a full size bath/shower.

Pros:

The location of the hotel was a huge surprise as it is so close yo the tennis centre and also close to the beach and within an easy walk to the shops. The staff were all really friendly and helpfull. My room, to which i had received an upgrade to a double, was clean and comfortable. Thankyou. See you again next year.

I cannot think of any negetives for this hotel...

I enjoyed my stay as it was comfortable and met my needs.
Pros:

The New Wilmington was a lovely hotel to stay in. I was particularly impressed with the comfort of the room, the friendliness of staff especially the lady on reception (Wijerama) - apologies for misspelling. The decor is slightly dated but it did not bother me. The location was excellent and close to amenities and the beach.

Cons:

The beverage selection could have been more varied. Some complimentary bottled water would have been welcomed.

Pros:

The only thing this hotel has is its location, almost across the road from the venue we were visiting. So it was great for that.

Cons:

The hotel was dated, there were pieces of furniture broken in our room. The room was extremely hot and there was no fans or air conditioning. Breakfast was very average.

Enjoyed our annual stay at this lovely hotel. Perfect location for the beach and local restaurants.
Pros:

The permit system for parking is excellent. Provided you can get a space for on road parking (which we did for the three nights we were there) it’s £2.50 for 24 hours. Just ask the hotel reception to issue you a permit.
