I had great time Hindustan hotel the rooms were very and comfortable ,wifi was good
The rooftop restaurant too good and food was delicious. Walking distance from metro station and New Delhi train station

Everything was disappointing about this stay, good job it was so cheap. Staff were unhelpful and felt like they were trying to scam me from the second I got there (after a ten hour journey to get to India it’s the last thing you need) and they were generally very unhelpful. The whole place is falling apart with disgusting toilets and cockroaches crawling round. You don’t even get a key for your dorm room and the doors don’t even shut - leaving you to wonder who is in your room at night. Avoid this place, not sure there will be better value in Paharganj but you want somewhere you feel a little more at ease.

I'm just going to share the same piece of advice that led me to booking the place. Stop your hostel search now and book this place. You won't regret it.
Spotlessly clean, plenty of food option ,friendly amd informative staff make this place an absolute.The environment the hostel creates will lead to meeting awesome fellow travelers and excellent conversation.

This review is for the awful experience I had with the tour desk.

The property itself is about what you'd expect. Old, a little rundown, we had some bugs in our bed but we got in late so we just wanted to sleep. The hotel owner was nice and got us into our room quickly.

Now about the tour desk: We wanted to head to Agra to see the Taj Mahal, and needed help booking a train ticket. We talked to the first guy, and he told us we had to book a train ticket more 3 three hours in advance. He also suggested completely changing our itinerary, which wasn't a bad idea, but one we needed to think about. We said we'd get a coffee, and he replied, "I know you arent going to get coffee, but remember I'm not trying to rip you off with these train ticket prices or anything." Okay, pretty rude, but whatever.

We went for a walk and decided to come back and book tickets with him, but he was gone. I spoke with another guy and told him we wanted to book tickets for 3 hours from now. He said no, it's not possible, you need to book 4 hours in advance. Great, now i'm being lied to. I told him I checked the website and there were plenty. He said it was wrong and we should book a car. He quoted us $250 for our trip. I asked him where the train station was and he wouldn't tell me.

We walked to the station, booked tickets 2 hours in advance for $1 each, packed our stuff and left.

Property is OK for 1 night, but the tour desk is horrible. They will try to rip your off. Avoid at all costs!

It was my good experience. The best part of this hotel it is located in central place of delhi.. the quality of hotel is excellent and the staff members are very helping in nature..

The staff was very nice and accommodating when we arrived very tired. It was good to find a very clean affordable hotel in a peaceful location in the middle of crazy paharganj. I will go stay there again!

Staff, good area, metro and train station near by and a great cafe called cafe CoffeeCo. 2 min walk. good coffee, food and wifi.

The Kitchen was run down and dirty, Do not order the breakfast package not worth it and I wouldn't want food coming from that kitchen. Bathroom is dirty and not cleaned often, I was there for 4 days and did not see it cleaned once. Even when I came back everything remained the same so I know it was not done while I was away.

They have a huge dog! super cute, but if you're afraid or don't like dogs I believe it was told to me that they will send the dog to another property during your stay.

Whenever I return to Delhi I always decide to stay here. The friendly atmosphere and lounge area is ideal for meeting other travelers. The dorm rooms are cleaned often unlike most other hostels.

The staff have great hospitality and will always go out of there way to help with anything. I would highly recommend taking part in the food tour which is ran by young Raghu most days of the week. The tour allows you to enjoy the the best of Old Delhi street food as well as a rooftop history lesson while gazing over the city.
Raj and Raghu are also more than happy to help you plan your travels around India if you are still unsure and train tickets can also be arranged easily on the dedicated travel desk

Smooth check-in, they help me in organizing my trip, which was the best part of my travel. suggestions and recommendations are the best.

We had such a good experience of staying at backpackers heaven. The atmosphere was brilliant and we got to meet so many other travellers. The staff were also amazing. As this was the first hostel we were staying at they sorted our Indian SIM cards and a few of our connecting trains.

Staff at this hostel are what makes your stay as well as the vibe. Great place to meet travellers in New Delhi. Room was clean with a large bathroom. Lockers available to store valuables (remember your padlock). The Delhi Belly tour the hostel runs is superb. Great experience going around Old Delhi and using the metro. They offer a pick up service from the airport for 700 rupees, Which you can pay at hostel when you arrive. I have enjoyed my stay in Backpacker Heaven and I will come back again.

I have stayed in many hostels in Delhi and this was my favorite. Backpacker’s heaven Kuldeep Friends absolutely fell in love with this hostel and would recommend it to all fellow backpackers. The staff is so friendly and helpful, the dorms are very comfortable, clean and the breakfast is a great. I met some amazing travelers as well! Rooftop is amazing to chillout.would definitely come back to this place again!!!! Thank you for making me stay so wonderful.

We stayed at the New Hindustan hostel for one night and chose a double room. It was a bit chilly as it was cold outside at night and no heating or A/C. Luckily there were enough sheets to keep warm. Our private room was also a converted dorm, so we could not really lock the door (it had a default PIN code entry code). The lockers were still in the room so we used a padlock to secure our valuables. The staff was friendly and the other guests were nice as well. Overall, it was a pleasant stay right in the middle of Delhi.

It's very nice hostel to stay with cooperative, polite and friendly staff, close to metro station and very clean and comfortable beds. Best place in Delhi for a pleasant and comfortable stay at a budget price.

‘Great place for the value’
The hostel is in a very small side street with no windows and there is no breakfast service.
The place is great and very clean and in the center of delhi in the middle of a street market with great access delhi metro blue, yellow and airport line and close to a lot of the touristic places you want to visit in delhi.

Backpackers was great! The staff are really helpful and friendly including helping us book trains. The Delhi Belly food tour is an also good, a great way to explore the bazaars and alleys of old Delhi.
