Akhan Kervansaray Hotel - Special Class

It works as an historic building with weekend wedding venues, but the owners seem to also try and pass this on as a hotel inbetween. It is far below normal 3 star rated hotels accross most countries.
When we got there, chairs all over the place. No sercuriry. Reception is a freestanding desk in main hall, etc.
Not my cup of tea. We checked in and immediately started looking for another hotel and left 2hours later. Owner said he will offer discount on our next booking. We wont go back.
I am baffled as to why some reviewers gave this place 10/10. Perhaps hotel.com should go check for themselves and reconsider this listing.

Thousands of mosquitoes and the bed was broken. Left it after one night (two nights were paid). No compensation no sorry till today (6 months). A place to avoid!

Hôtel bien photographier....nous avons réservés 2 chambres , l hôtel est vieille bâtisse , les peintures des chambres sont pleins de salpêtre, et vous tombent dessus la nuit, les chambres sentent l humidité, de plus en pleine nuit, un bruit dérangeant nous empêchent de dormir, un jolie nie de frelon dans la chambre

It was a once in-a-life-time experiences for my kids. I get to experience the type of structure traveling people would get to stay in 7-8 hundred years ago, while still enjoying the comforts of modern amenities such as A/C and having a full bath in the room. The management and the staff were unbelievably friendly and accommodating. I would definitely recommend the experience. If you have a chance to stay at Kervansayar Hotel, don't miss out on it!

The Antique building was very impressive. But it would be helpful to have a mosquito net. Even though it was November, we had a lot of mosquitoes in the room. But overall it was a good stay.

Wonderful 766 years old Caravan palace with only four rooms. What the place lacks in modern amenities it makes up for with old world charm and a truly historic setting. We were the only guests and enjoyed the very Turkish breakfast having the open courtyard to ourselves.

It’s a very special place, a 766 year old building, which twintig years ago has been restored to this magnificent hotel. When you step onto the courtyard, you step into history.

Номер у нас был чистый, укомплектован как в описании. Всё в рабочем состоянии. Завтрак обильный сервируют на столе. Парковка перед воротами этого замка. Очень красивый интерьер ресторана. Спасибо за гостеприимство приветливым хозяевам.

We went there with our family, we were shocked because nobody there the light was off no reception nothing!!!!!!!!! The place it was scary we didn’t check in, just leave the place.

The history of it, the surroundings, close to the highways

We liked the building history and architecture. Nobody was there when we arrived, all the lights was closed and the owner didn’t answer, we were really anxious. We had to wait there before we saw a staff on the site but she didn’t talk english and it was difficult to understand the situation. We came back in afternoon to meet the owner who was nice. He told us only at this time that a weeding celebration of 200 people will be in the hotel during evening. We were happy in a way to see it but stress that will be really noisy and impossible to sleep (but music stop at 23h so it was fine). I found the living room was missing light and nice decoration with colors to be more charming and warming. We didn’t have hot water for shower and had to ask for it.

같은 가격에 방을 업그레이드 해주셨고, 다음날 이동하는데 택시보다 싸게 운전해주신 것 등 서비스는 매우 만족합니다!! 침실은 좋았으나 작은 방에 히터가 고장나 전기히터를 틀어 조금 추웠습니다!! 그리고 밤 늦게 체크인을 했는데 24시간 프론트 운영이 아니라 개인이 운영하시는 것인데 친철하게 맞아주셨고, 대신 너무 늦은 밤이라 들어갈때 잘 못찾아 조금 무서웠네요

It was lovely experience sleeping in a historic building where travellers in the past stopped to rest over 750 years ago. We booked the room with en-suite sauna and hamam. Wow, beautiful! It was truly a unique experience. We thoroughly enjoyed the sauna and the eucalyptus infused water for the steam. The scent was wonderful and refreshing. As the adjoining room is on the smaller side, the steam from the hamam and the sauna can take over the sleeping room. It was difficult to air our the moisture as we could not open the window due to the mosquitoes entering the room.
The walls are very thick so even though the location is next to a main road, the room was very quiet. Our host was kind and helpful. We arranged a pick up service from the airport, transport out to the Laodikya and Pamukkale.

This is an amazing hotel, totally different from anywhere we have stayed before. We really enjoyed our visit.
