The noise that went on till 2am and then at 7am the extractor fan for the kitchin kicks right next to my room.
This made a nice day out a nightmare.

Lots of stairs. No lift.
The downside of the central location is the noise from the pub, or more accurately from the drunks fighting in the street at midnight

Great little stay
Pros:

Very friendly welcome .
We was apprehensive about the club in the pub would keep us awake but it did not and we had a great nights sleep

Excellent location within easy reach of the Horse racing museum for a tour. Free car parking which was very useful.

Good for the races and if you like to party all night
Pros:

Convenient location for Newmarket racecourse. Staff were lovely and room was clean.

Cons:

The clientele - race goers and locals alike were very aggressive and confrontational.
The room was so hot - terrible nights sleep. Needed more than just a tiny fan to cool the room down but it has been a very hot summer.

We stayed in room 5 and there needs to be a plug at each bed
