Categories

Cleanliness
8.7
Rooms are frequently described as clean and well presented; some issues reported with restaurant cleanliness (sticky tables) and occasional mould on a ceiling, so overall cleanliness is strong but not flawless.
Service
9.8
Service is repeatedly praised (friendly, welcoming staff, named staff thanked for excellent help); isolated negatives include a closed pub/front desk and one comment about unprofessional behaviour, but overwhelmingly positive feedback supports a high score.
Location
8.7
Location is repeatedly called perfect for specific visits and convenient for exploring the area; some guests noted it sits on an industrial-type area with little nearby, so generally very good for the right purpose.
Room Quality
7.2
Rooms are described as comfortable and well maintained by many, but several guests reported firm beds, small rooms, inadequate ventilation/Windows only opening a little, a broken air-con causing severe disruption, and occasional mould—lowering this score.
Amenities
8.5
Amenities include free parking, a playground and a secure building which guests liked; negatives include Wi‑Fi requiring extensive personal details and limited keycards, so overall amenities are good but with some friction.
Value for Money
9.5
Multiple comments praise the price–performance and value; rooms often described as better than expected for the price, supporting a strong value score.
Food and Beverage
7.6
Several guests reported disappointing breakfast items (oily potato scone) and concerns about the restaurant's cleanliness and food quality; one pub across the road received positive mention, but overall F&B is an area needing improvement.
Overall Experience
8.8
Most guests report an overall good or wonderful stay with clean rooms and friendly staff, though a minority experienced major issues (no sleep due to AC failure, staffing gaps), so the aggregate overall experience is strongly positive.

A Lovely Surprise.
Pros:

Stopped recently in a very tired Premier Inn in Aberdeen and expected the same as similar price. This was the exact opposite. Guy and lady gave a superb Scottish welcome when I arrived tired at 8pm after driving 420 miles! It really cheered me up as they even knew my name. The room was spotless and the hotel looked like it has had a recent refurbishment. New carpets etc. Lovely welcome at 7am for breakfast with an amazing choice of cooked options from an extensive menu as well as continental options. I even had berries and yoghurt which is often a rarity. There is a large pub where you book in with food till late. It is situated next to other food outlets such as Macdonalds. Quiet location at the end of a road. Secure parking.

Cons:

I can't comment on the surrounding town as headed home in the morning.

OK for what we wanted.
Pros:

Very easy to find. Good car park. Restaurant on site. Clean room

Cons:

Despite booking a double room there was only one set of towels. We had to phone to get another set sent over. Which arrived very quickly.

We were asked if we would like more drinks. "Same again?". "Yes please". They never arrived. We had to go to the bar or order ourselves.

We were never offered the dessert menu. I might have been tempted, but couldn't be bothered to go and ask for a menu.

No bacon for breakfast, but I did get an extra sausage.

Great, friendly staff and a nice clean room.
Pros:

The staff were very friendly. The room was clean and a good size. Large bed, which is always nice. Food was ok, nothing special but not bad at all.

Cons:

Enough tea and coffee in the room for the whole stay, not just one day.

It was good value for money really.
Pros:

Generally good value for money

Cons:

I found the bed very firm and uncomfortable
There's a factory over the road that has a generator/ fans that run through the night. It's possible to ignore when the windows are closed, but when they are open it's too loud to sleep, so you have to have the windows closed at night.
