Posizione strategica, a pochi minuti a piedi da piazza Taksim e Kadikoy. Vicino a tutte le principali attrazioni.
Pros:

La posizione dell’hotel. Camera molto spaziosa.

Cons:

La pulizia lasciava un po’ a desiderare. La camera era piena di polvere e il giorno dopo, quando ci hanno sistemato la stanza, non abbiamo trovato i cuscini e la coperta. Abbiamo poi scoperto che erano nell’armadio.
Il rassetto delle camere era fatto in maniera frettolosa e poco precisa.
Altra pecca, l’albergo non offre la colazione. É presente un bar, ma solo un cappuccino costa 4,50€.
Avremmo gradito al nostro arrivo che il ragazzo alla reception ci avesse fornito più informazioni sulla zona e una cartina con i principali servizi del quartiere.

A great base to explore Istanbul
Pros:

The Wilson Galata is located just a couple of minutes walk away from the Galata tower, one of the nicest areas of the city bustling with life.
The rooms are quite big, the bed is comfortable and the shower is very spacious.
The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful.

God valuta, topp beliggenhet
Pros:

Perfekt beliggenhet rett ved Galata-tårnet, sentralt, men likevel skjermet og rolig. Hyggelig liten kafe i første etasje med mulighet for te og kaffe, og mulighet for å få frokost servert fra en nærliggende kafe (prøvde ikke dette - flere fine frokoststeder i nærheten). Greit renhold, men det må bes om ved å henge ut lapp, fungerte greit mens vi var der. Hyggelig og behjelpelig ansatte i resepsjonen, påfyll av kaffe og vann underveis.

Cons:

Vårt rom i første etasje var mot en slags bakgård, og kun det ene av rommene (vi hadde to sammenslåtte rom), hadde vindu. Aircondition så ut til å være defekt/mangle vedlikehold på tidspunktet vi var der - heldigvis ikke et problem. Litt begrenset ventilasjon/avtrekk på bad. Noe slitt, og litt enkle/billige løsninger i oppbygning/oppussing av rommene. Lite kjøkkenutstyr på leilighetene, så ikke planlegg for noe større matlaging, men greit for litt enkel oppbevaring/frokost.

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The cleanliness stood out immediately, and the room size was very comfortable, especially with the added bonus of a balcony. The location is excellent—just a 5–6 minute walk from Galata Tower, making it very convenient for exploring the area. The surroundings are lively, with plenty of shops and restaurants in every direction. By the afternoon, the whole neighborhood comes alive and creates a festive, vibrant atmosphere. Another highlight is that the famous Rooftop Galata photo spot is only about a 7–8 minute walk away, which made it easy to enjoy one of Istanbul’s must-do experiences. Overall, it was a pleasant and memorable stay.

Cons:

One thing I didn’t like about the location is that it is in a hilly area with very congested roads. This can make getting around a bit difficult. I noticed two main issues during my stay. First, tourist buses are often unwilling to come directly to the hotel for pick-up and drop-off, which can be inconvenient. Second, walking in this area can be challenging, especially for people who are sick or not physically fit, due to the steep and narrow streets. These factors may be something to consider before booking.
