Hôtel La Fabrique

Accès en voiture à l'hôtel et parking compliqués.
J'avoue que je n'avais pas lu le message envoyé avant l'arrivée.

The parking was the only difficulty - finding the actual car park, and organising the parking permit. Better info should have been sent via Hotels,com.
Staff at the hotel were extremely helpful, and dealt with all other issues effectively.

The Parking available? Definitely NOT ! Impossible to approach the hotel by car because of the one-way streets all around the hotel. Prepare to find a parking first and then carry all your luggage to the hotel. The staff wasn’t very helpful to find a solution. After a long and stressful trip, to be confronted with a guy at the desk who didn’t seem to know a solution to my problem or didn’t want to help, was very upsetting. The shower was not well made, so the water ran to the bathroom floor instead of in the drain. The cover of the toilet seat was broken and remained broken during our 3 days stay. 3 stars.

Stayed for 3 nights, location great near the port and train station. Staff very friendly & helpfull. Would recommend

J'avais sélectionné cet hôtel parce qu’il était indiqué "Parking assuré". MENSONGE ! En effet les palaces de stationnement payant étaient toute occupées et la voie d'accès à l'entrée de l'hôtel fermée par des barrières et plots. La seule solution présentée par l'hôtesse d'accueil fut le Parking Vieux Port Sud à un prix exorbitant malgré le contrat avec l'hôtel. A cela s'ajoute un trajet piétonnier peu agréable avec valises et par le temps pluvieux régnant.
Je note que l'hôtesse, à ce sujet du parking a purement donné l'impression de nous prendre, mon épouse et moi-même pour des "ploucs". Ce qui est passablement désobligeant pour quelqu'un qui a fait de nombreux voyages et le tour du Monde avec une multitude d'escales.
Nous avons noté également le manque de pression d'eau au troisième étage, tant au lavabo que pour la douche. L'absence de ventilation ou son non fonctionnement occasionne beaucoup de buée dans une salle de bain sans fenêtre, ce qui est gênant.
Il conviendrait de demander à la mairie de retirer les plots et barrières ainsi que les minables arbustes en boîte dans la rue. Cela permettrait d'accéder en voiture pour déposer les bagages à l'entrée de l'hôtel et d'aller se garer ensuite "gratuitement" à un parking dédié à la Fabrique.
Cette situation et anomalie sont d'autant regrettables lorsque l'on voit l'accès au parking IBIS en face de votre hôtel.
Le surcoût du parking place très mal La Fabrique sur le rapport qualité /prix.

Hotel is well located , close to centre - no parking so you will have to pay each day - our room was tiny - bed was 1 foot from toilet and shower room . Close to all restaurants and shops , big wheel etc etc

Nice clean room, great for the price and location

We had a family room wuth onr large double bed and two singles. The beds were extremely comfortable. The sher was a walk-in shower which was ideal fir people with motility issues and the contintal breakast as an extra was good vale fir money and a gpod selection of cheeses and cold meats.

Tres bon sejour excellent petit déjeuner très bien situé dans la ville (port, monuments...)

Better food options

Hôtel extrêmement bien situé, près du vieux port de La Rochelle (attractions touristiques / restaurants / boutiques….).
Lieux et chambre impeccable avec une literie confortable.
L’ensemble des services proposés sont également à retenir (tarif avantageux pour le parking de la ville / bagagerie disponible….).
Pour finir, des professionnels accueillant, souriant et à l’écoute.
Je recommande.

Imposible llegar a él en coche, zona exclusivamente de vecinos con pivotes.No tiene parking aunque lo ofrece la información del Hotel, al llegar y preguntar,te ofrecen aparcar en la calle, que es imposible por la zona, o llevarlo a un parking privado externo de la zona.

Location and cleanliness perfect for a short stay in the lovely port of La Rochelle

Shower are too slippery, no moisturizer provided, ac is right in your face as you sleep, small window that open to a small court yard with everyone else , so no privacy if you want to open windows , can smell people smoking thru the windows
