The place is very spacious and is good post ski but a little too far for me from the mountains. They have a great spa with massages and services. The food isn’t great and the rooms are very spacious. The views are great from this hotel.

We came here on vacation for a ski trip,the least we expected is that there will be partying in the hotel "conference room" until 3AM with loud music and singing, without a notice for the other guests who are in the hotel. We complained at the reception and they didn't do anything about it. So if you are thinking for this hotel to be your choice to come here with a family or to rest properly think twice.

Spent 4 nights here for a 3 days skiing trip. The hotel was basic but comfortable, with helpful staff who spoke good English. The hotel is about a 10 minute walk from the Ski gondola. We used a ski rental shop near the gondola (Traventuria) to store our skis and boots. Breakfast buffet was good (cereals, fruit, cold meats and cheese, bread, plus hot eggs, tomatoes, beans, mushrooms, sausages bacon, etc. Hot food was warm rather than hot, but plenty of it and tasted good. Definitely a good value choice. Rooms had a great view of the mountains with a balcony.
Used the sauna and steam room and swimming pool very day after being on the slopes and they were just what the doctor ordered!
All in all very pleased with this hotel.

To avoid! Pay attention to the reservation! They canceled my booking for January (made by booking since August) exactly 3 days before arrival, although I corresponded with the property, they assured me that everything is ok, until I paid the whole stay. Then they told me that the reservation was already canceled ..... all the discussions with the reservation manager, booking ... were useless. The money was taken, the vacation was canceled, so take all precautions when booking this hotel! Mr. Martin, the employee in charge of reservations has a big black ball....

Ways of good and professional behavior are not present in this hotel. Smile and friendly service are unknown. It's inconceivable to drive you out of the restaurant by turning off the lights. The atmosphere in the bar was very cold, had no music and when it was, it was of poor quality. The hotel is managed without administration and the hospitality is at a very low level. Even the way they respond to e-mails is very rough. Generally, I do not write bad reviews, but I have to mention the above issues, which I think should be paid special attention.

This is the second time we stayed at this hotel as a family of three (one adult and two teenagers). The apartment was roomy with twin beds in one room, shower with sliding glass doors and sink etc, sofa bed in the lounge area which also included table and four chairs, kitchenette which was great for sandwich lunch preparation. Bins were emptied and beds made on a daily basis. Sunrise is located down a quite col-de-sac yet only 500m from the Gondola and close enough to walk back in ski boots if needed but better to make use of the efficiently run hotel shuttle bus which runs in the morning and afternoon from 3am. Breakfast and evening buffet meals were of wide variety, excellent and plentiful. Much use was made of the sauna, steam room and pool after a days skiing. We visited Sunrise 25 Feb 19 for one week.

This is the most awful hotel I’ve ever seen. The staff is so rude especially in the kitchen, they didn’t allow me to take a sandwich outside the kitchen and told me to pay 10€ for it. I don’t recommend.

Хороший отель, приветливый персонал, обильный завтрак. Если брать блюда а-ля карт, то подача обалденная, повар старается, еда очень вкусная. До склона ходят регулярные шатл-басы, водители приветливые. К сожалению WiFi нормально работает только на лобби.

Where to start from..... at a four person bedroom two persons had to sleep on a terrible couch broken that they did not want to fix it... the cleaning lady was not cleaning the room ... there was no service at any problem we had ....

We stayed in this hotel from the 22nd of December 2018 until the 26th.The rooms are spacious,luminous and the temperature is automatic to switch back on at 23 degrees.That means having a warm room during the day and hot water as well. For fact it depends on the room that somebody is staying in relation with the conditions, as it happened for some people to have had problems with the heat or the bathroom supplies and the water. A big plus is the breakfast as it offers a variety of food,that for sure can fullfil your expectations.The staff is very friendly but with a little knowledge in English language.Distance from the center of Bansko is around 20' on foot and 10-15' from the lift.

The hotel is located 400mt from the gondola station in the heart of Bansko.
Skiers can't walk on ski boots to the lifts but the hotel offers a free shuttle bus service.
The breakfast buffet is full and rich in sweets, cold, and warm delicacies.
The rooms are spacious and equipped with a TV, fridge, and a small citchenette.
The bathroom/showers could be better and the espresso coffee as well.
The Spa area is small but enough to recover after a day on the slopes.
Massage prices should be a bit lower.
Overall a very decent hotel in very logical prices, a very good value for money option for skiers visiting Bansko.

Just returned from a weeks skiing and cannot find any faults with the hotel for the ridiculously cheap price we paid. The food, the staff, the spa, the apartment was all excellent. The only thing which was inconvenient was the 10 min walk into town along the bad pavement (or in some parts no pavement!!) but we caught the ski shuttle both to and from the gondola so it was not much of a problem. I would definitely recommend this hotel and stay here again booked through very cheap holidays.

This hotel is located close to the gondola and the Bansko Mall, on a quiet street. The center of Bansko is at 15min walking distance.

The apartment was very clean, beds were comfortable and towels were changed everyday, even if it was not needed.

The breakfast was very good, lots of options to choose from, fresh pancakes made on the spot. The dairy and ham were good quality.

They have a small spa area with a pool, a dry sauna, steam bath and a jacuzzi. For the jacuzzi you have to make a reservation in advance, but this doesn t guarantee that you will use it as you reserved. Even if we made the reservation a few days before and they wrote the time and date in the reservation plan, we still had to wait for 1hr in order for them to fill the jacuzzi. I was not happy with it, as filters were coming off without touching them and the jacuzzi was very slippery...like...not clean enough.
So, even if you are a guest of the hotel you have to pay 15leva/15 min or 30 leva/30min.

They provide transportation to and from the gondola at 15min intervals and this service is working very good.

Overall we were very happy with this place and we plan to come back.

The hotel has great location for skiers, only 600 700 meters to the gondola, so the location is great. You can also use their free shutle bus. The rooms are ok, they are big and clean. The staff didn`t refill the rooms with toilet paper, towels were very old and chopped. There was no safe lockers in the rooms and the kitchen was empty with only 2 glasses. At least they could put one spoon, i cant mix the hot Nescafe with my finger, come on!
There is no housekeeper or he is not doing his job, my friends stayed without power in the bedroom for 4 days.
The personnel is awful, no one was polite, at the front desk on lobby the receptionist stayed all the time on their phones, facebook and insta more interesting than their job. Everyone is on their phones, the barman, the receptionist, the cleaning personnel, everyone Total absence of personnel management. One smile will not kill you. They do not even say HI.
SPA, BE AWARE! There is something strange at the indoor pool, your eyes hurt when you enter the pool. Dirty floor as well. They say sauna works from 10AM, we went at 11 and it was cold.
The breakfast was average, don`t eat bread, i`ve found mold on it on the very first day of our stay. The waiters all very rude and unpolite, they only talk between them, making jokes etc.
Its a shame, such a good location, great and spacious rooms and total lack of management.

I am an airbnb superhost from Athens Greece, stayed at the “Sunrise” hotel in Bansko for 4 nights. DONT make this mistake to choose this hotel. broken matress and small pillows (you cannot sleep), small curtain in the shower (water goes off everywhere in the bathroom when its open also) , very bad wifi reception (i called the resception and they told me they have problem with the modem,have to restart it again and again) . the lightning was so bad that you can hardly see and after a few minutes feeling dizzy.Also, i wanted to cook for my friends something simple, spaghetti, and i was amazed when i opened the cupboards in the kitchen area, there is nothing to use at all. no pot, forks, anything. so frustrated. we also found rotten bread in the cupboard.

the only positive is that its spacious rooms and hot. thats all.
of course for all that we informed the reception desk.

First time at this hotel, and I must say I am very pleased with the whole experience. The room is spacious with great views of the mountains. The breakfast had lots to choose from and was different every day and I was more than happy with it. The only downside of breakfast is they need to consider opening half an hour earlier through the ski season as it is almost impossible to get to the gondola by 8 when breakfast starts at 7.30.

There is a regular FREE shuttle to and from the gondola throughout the day. Which was a great welcome at the end of a hard skiing day.

It is very hot in the hotel but I think it may have been because the week we went the weather was unusually warm. In the room it wasn't an issue as we just opened the doors to the 2 balconies.

Another thing I found was when I came to make a cuppa, there were no spoons! But I'm sure, had I asked at reception, they would have given me a spoon!

All in all, for the money I paid, I would have no problem in returning to this hotel.

We were super worried about breakfast at this hotel due to many of the reviewers saying its rubbish. Not so. We found breakfast to be steaming hot, freshly cooked and plenty of variety. The choice of hot food was different every day. We were often there first thing and watched the pancake chef set up and start cooking so not from previous day as one other reviewer says. We also got there nearly at the end of the service on the last day and still the food was hot.

The apartment room was large and spacious. Clean and comfy. The only thing we did find was that the light in the bedroom is very dull and so its difficult to do your makeup in the mirror but I just opened the curtain and had plenty of light!

The kitchenette was fully working and would be good enough to cook a meal but do be aware there are no plates or cutlery. Not even a spoon to stir your tea. On that note I would take tea with you as there are only 2 tea bags available for you and they are 2 levs each tea bag. A bit expensive if you ask me.

We did have a light bulb blow in our entrance hall of the room but I spoke to the receptionist as we went out for the day and the light bulb was replaced by the time we came back. No issue at all.

We ended up eating in the bar most evenings as we were too exhausted from skiing all day and our 2 young boys just wanted to sleep. Each night it came to roughly 30-40 levs (about £15-20). Very tasty and freshly cooked to order. We had all sorts: pizza, risotto, greek salad, cheesy chips...... yummy ;-)

The location is actually very good because it is a short walk (maybe 10 mins ish) to the gondola which is perfectly manageable even in ski boots. But it is also far enough away from the hustle and bustle and noise of the centre, which while we were there had a very noisy fun fair going on till late, we were glad to be far enough away to not hear that blasting.

All in all we were really happy with our stay and are currently organising to go back.

My advice: manage your expectations and be happy your on holiday!

I stayed at the hotel for a week for the purpose of ski vacation.
The staff was very nice.
The hotel has an excellent spa.
Great location (10 minutes walk to the gondola and they have shuttles)
Breakfasts was good
Free wifi with good speed (a little bit less in evening times).
We checkout at evening time (we paid extra) that we can took the advantage of our last day for the surfing because our flight was at the night time.
The hotel took care of us for a ride back to the airport.

We booked a 2 bedroom apartment (we were 4 adults) and it was better than we expected: there was a spacious living room with a kitchenette, a bathroom, one medium sized bedroom and one large bedroom with its own bathroom. Every room had its own balcony and we had a nice mountain view.
It is located at about 500m from the gondola, but we got there every day with a free shuttle from the hotel (its schedule started from 8am until 5pm).
The breakfast was basic but pretty good (we stayed 5 nights so we haven't got too tired of it), the swimming pool was quite small but not crowded so that was an advantage, and the spa area was fine for relaxing after skying.
They cleaned our room every day, the staff was nice and spoke english very well and the hotel had a lot of facilities (sky deposit, underground parking, kids area, etc)
The downside of our stay was that the bedrooms were a bit cold, but we haven't bothered claiming it to the reception because we read it before in others reviews and we came prepared.
