Lovely room but did not get walk in shower as requested. Shower and bath were needing some attention. We did bring this to the attention of staff when we left.
All good
Location and the place was perfect
Fantastic location, nice bar and outdoor seating area. Room was small but bed was comfy, bathroom roomy and everything spotless.
A small fridge in the room would be very welcome.
When we arrived back at night about midnight, hotel and bar were both closed, we could see staff cleaning up inside but took a good few minutes for anyone to acknowledge or react to us ringing the bell. We were never told at check in what the policy for returning late at night was so expected the door to he open or a 24 hour porter to be available, would be good to have this mentioned and clarified at check in.
Reception was very rarely staffed and took a long time to track down a member of staff to assist as bar was extremely busy and meant having to queue to get to ask anyone for assistance at reception, including checkin.
Breakfast menu was very good
Food was delicious
Staff excellent
Only downfall with hotel was that there was no lift
All good and central to everything
Nothing
the lady at reception was lovely upon arrival and food in the restaurant was nice.
waiting staff could be a bit more friendlier, a smile costs nothing. As a person with coeliac disease, i asked in relation to my needs, and all i received was yes we can do that. I wasnt told in what way or how, which dishes etc. Not the most friendly of girls which people normally expect in a hotel / restaurant.
breakfast doesnt start till 8am, i was leaving at 7.30 so unable to get anything to eat.
Room and bed very clean and comfortable
No complaints
A beautiful traditional hotel with a warm and friendly atmosphere and excellent staff.
Lovelt friensly staff
No lift . Loud music thumping until 1am. They provide ear plugs, but would you hear fire alarm?
Excellent location, very clean, good food
Location, old style feel.
Plenty of tea/ coffee in room, comfy bed
With no breakfast included in price it was expensive for one night.
