We loved this hotel, we were upgraded and had a lovely balcony. The upstairs roof terrace was wonderful. An honesty bar is provided and is very good. The room was perfect, the bed comfortable and everywhere was spotless. The staff were very good. We will be back!

Excellent good value,good choice

Really lovely hotel with lots of character. Loved the stained glass window in the rear of the lobby and the tasteful bar and seating area. Great roof terrace although furniture is a little tired.
So close to Malagueta beach and central Málaga is an easy 20-25 minute walk through fascinating streets.
The reception team were fabulous and very helpful. Alejandro is a kind, helpful and extremely knowledgeable and competent host. I really appreciated his help with parking my car in space 13 in the corner of the underground car park.
My room was great, (205) lots of unexpected extras- lovely little balcony for a cup of tea. Luxurious bathroom with huge shower. Super clean. Good lift.
Only minor issue was people coming and going until small hours and on arrival they made a lot of racket. This happened 2 of my 3 nights, but since everything else was wonderful, it's not a big deal. Thank you Hotel California, I checked out and escaped into the Sierra de las Nieves!

Very good cost-benefit. Totally worth the price compared to nearby hotels.

A nice little property away from the busy area yet a nice 20 min walk away. super close to the beach (2 min walk) and there is a big supermarket one block away. Everyone I spoke to was pleasant and helpful. I had an early flght and they arranged a taxi ride at 4:45AM and someone was at the desk making sure all was good. Would stay again!

Excellent renovated hotel with about a 2 minute walk to the beach. Room was very quiet also. They provide beach towels and umbrella also. We had room 202 which is the best front facing room as it has a large balcony with chairs.

Great place, great location, great room. Only thing that was challenging was parking!

Great location-only a few minutes walk to the beach, with the hotel providing beach towels and an umbrella. Breakfast was delicious and very filling. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I would stay here again and recommend to others.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the breakfast with fruits and bread changing each day. I would give this hotel 5 stars except the shower didn’t work for the first two nights of our stay, which was disappointing after a long and tiring journey.

10/10 Wonderful stay at Hotel California during our first visit to Malaga. The hotel is beautiful, quaint and welcoming. The rooms have been updated and our particular room was quiet. The breakfast each morning to start the day was absolutely amazing served by a very kind and helpful staff. 5-minute walk to the beach! We will definitely be back! Highly recommend!
