Not a hotel — Black mold, dirty bedding, heavy perfume — not recommended.

While it took a long time, we were happy to receive a refund for our stay and appreciate the host's willingness to provide this.

Cons:

I'm genuinely confused as to how this place turned out to be so bad. I carefully filter on Booking for only hotels and places with 8+ rating and lots of reviews. Something is off with this one, because it was very far below an 8+ experience. Also, it is NOT a hotel as tagged by Booking's filters.

It's an apartment with no reception and almost zero responsiveness from the owners. We had difficulties receiving the arrival instructions and the hosts ignored our messages for hours, delaying the checkin. When we had issues later, we were unable to get in contact with the host at all and had to call Booking support.

When we arrived, we immediately felt sick from the black mold problems in the building. The shower was super moldy and all of the bedding was sprayed with a super strong perfume to cover the smell. The bedding was not washed and had dirt and hairs from previous guests in them. The kettle was broken and the amenities were not taken care of.

Both of us woke up coughing from the mold and one of us with an allergic reaction to the strong perfume chemicals on the dirty sheets.

Due to the health hazard of the black mold, we left after the first night. We were grateful to the host for refunding us, but it complicated our trip a lot and we had to spend extra money to get a new hotel last minute.
