Camera piccola, pulizia camera, purtroppo la cosa più triste è che ci hanno regalato una bottiglia di vino al nostro arrivo, scomparsa il secondo giorno… chiesto spiegazioni nessuno a saputo darci risposta o sopperire a quanto accaduto… peccato…mai successo in tanti anni che viaggio

Stressful due to no parking
Pros:

Comfy bed really good breakfast

Cons:

DJ playing ridiculously loud music on the rooftop bar/pool. Couldn’t even have a conversation as it was so loud
Advertised parking available but there was no parking which caused a lot of stress as I had booked is specifically for that as I knew Barcelona was a busy city.

Small hotel, huge heart.
Pros:

The location near the Arc de Triomf puts you right on the edge of old Barcelona — walkable to everything, yet quiet enough to actually rest. And the staff? Best I've encountered. Professional, warm, and always one step ahead. If you're heading to Barcelona, this is your spot!

What an awesome place.
Pros:

In a word: exceptional.

From initial booking to check out the Hotel Rec were customer centred.

The layout of the room is functional and minimalist without skipping on the necessities.

The bottle of Cava and the fee drink tokens was a welcome surprise.

As a vegan, breakfast was catered brilliantly.

The location, right by the Arc du Triompf, is on the edge of the old town and perfect for exploring.

Eating breakfast on the terrace looking out over the City and watching the Swifts cavorting is stunning.

The soundproofing of the rooms is superb. None of those annoying banging doors as fellow guests enter and leave their rooms. Oh, and no kids 😊😁

Every member of staff was pleasant and professional. The lockers are a nice touch.

Great location and spacious rooms, but service could improve
Pros:

I have stayed at Hotel REC many times over the years, and overall it has always been a good experience. The location is perfect if you enjoy being in the middle of a lively area with people, energy and noise around the clock. Everything is happening right outside the door.

The rooms are spacious, comfortable and very pleasant to stay in. One of the highlights is definitely the rooftop terrace, which creates a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere.

What prevents this hotel from reaching the very top level is mainly the communication and follow-through. Too many promises are made without fully delivering on them, and that takes away from the overall experience. It is not quite on the same level as Borneta or Grand Central in terms of service and consistency.

That said, this is still absolutely a hotel I would recommend, especially for travelers looking for a vibrant location and large, comfortable rooms.

Pros:

I like this hotel and have been there before. I love the location and rooms are nice

Cons:

However this time we got a room that was not so good. All kinds of sounds coming from outside and keeping us awake and also the air condition was alway going down so the room was cold big part of the night.
