This is the remote beach dream I was hoping for. Indeed directly in the beach. We walked 2 hours (and there was as still no end of beach to see) and met the first other couple after 1.5hours (beside some fishermen). I didn’t know this would still exists after I have seen so many crowded places in SriLanka.
Service was extremely nice and helpful. Really don’t understand some of the other reviews of mixed service experience. We had service at the beach, could stay longer using their facilities post check-out, had super honest recommendations on the food eg what fish is really fresh one, they even brought us a cooler for a wine which we have bought outside at a wine store, for breakfast we enjoyed the oat porridge bowl (try it at least once it’s great)
You should not come to this place if you like to have a big party till past midnight, if you are an all-inclusive tourist having music and alcohol all day around … but that makes this a perfect hide-away that these tourist are NOT here.
Yes it is not 5 star (but it also doesn’t cost five star) yet all is very very clean. From our 2h walks on the beach we believe it is the only hotel with a true direct beach view from hotel, pool , sunbeds.

Wir haben leider nur eine Nacht in diesem wunderschönen, direkt am Strand gelegenen Hotel verbracht – und rückblickend war es der schönste Aufenthalt unserer gesamten Sri-Lanka-Rundreise.
Die Zimmer sind luxuriös und sehr hochwertig ausgestattet, man fühlt sich vom ersten Moment an rundum wohl. Besonders begeistert hat uns der nahezu menschenleere Strand direkt vor der Tür. Es gibt ausreichend Liegen, und man kann kilometerweit am Wasser entlangspazieren – einfach traumhaft.
Das Frühstück war sehr lecker g

und reichlich – ein perfekter Start in den Tag.
Wir haben uns hier unglaublich wohlgefühlt und können dieses Hotel uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen. Wenn wir wieder nach Sri Lanka reisen, würden wir definitiv länger bleiben.

A surprising highlight given the value of the place. Lovely big room, balcony overlooking the pool and beach, perfect location, super quiet, high quality food (and prawn curry was ordered more than once, and the Sri Lankan breakfast was great). Being able to have a walk on the beach, swim in the sea, and then jump into the basically private pool (there are 6 rooms, so the likelihood of anyone else being in the pool at the same time is slim) was a delight. Very friendly and helpful staff - fresh (not instant) coffee brought to the room no problem, and they even managed to procure some flip flops from a local shop one morning. Recommend taking up the spa offer, too - the one the hotel recommends (4 minute tuk tuk down the road) is very good.

We spent two nights at Ananya Beach Resort and loved the calm atmosphere and the gorgeous view from our room. The hotel is located near the end of a bumpy dirt road, so you really feel like you're really "away from it all." Some people will love that feeling, but others will find this area too quiet -- it's just a matter of preference. There's a restaurant on the property, and if you want to eat elsewhere there are several other good options that are about a 15-20 minute walk away. One of the benefits to staying somewhere so quiet is that you'll get to see a lot of animals! Water buffalo, monkeys, monitor lizards, dogs, cows, birds. The sunsets were really incredible, too. To reach the town of Tangalle and the more swimmable beaches, it takes 30 minutes by tuk-tuk which the front desk will be happy to arrange for you.

Away from the world, beachfront hideaway, spotlessly clean and relaxed service

The property was very clean and on a long quiet sandy beach. We had a lovely room over the sea with a good sized balcony. Breakfast was very good and swimming pool superb. Chandermal took care of us very well. All of the staff were extremely polite.

Тангалла, лучший отдых, бесконечные, роскошные пляжи, и замечательные отели. Нам очень понравилось здесь, тихое место, чистый бассейн, доброжелательный персонал. Вкусный завтрак. Есть отели со звездами, но они до этих небольших отелей не дотягивают по обслуживанию своих гостей. Мало людей и все только для вас. Очень понравилось, мы уехали, и через день вернулись. Очень много птиц, животных, рядом заросли, где можно их увидеть. Ночью светлячки летают как маленькие Фонарики. В полдень океан спокойнее и мы плавали на волнах, но все равно, надо быть бдительным, волны могут накрыть. А какой романтический ужин нам организовали, это просто супер. Нам приготовили барракуду, она была очень вкусной.Суп на кокосовом молоке, это просто супер, какой он вкусный, нежный! Суп баунти!
Спасибо персоналу за его отзывчивость, доброту и внимательность, мы обязательно сюда еще вернёмся!

Przepiękne położenie, duże wygodne pokoje, pyszne jedzienie i znakomita obsługa. Do niczego nie można się przyczepić.

L'emplacement en bord de plage est incroyable! La plage est immense et presque déserte, et il y a de nombreux transats à l'ombre. L'océan est par contre très agité, mais il y a la piscine à débordement pour se rafraîchir.
Le restaurant est très bien, au petit déjeuner et dîner. Ils proposent même des encas et cocktails à toute heure.
Ils nous ont réservé une très belle promenade en barque sur la mangrove juste derrière l'hôtel au coucher du soleil.

Ein kleines, sehr sauberes und gepflegtes Hotel. Manager Janith und sein Team haben wirklich jeden Wunsch erfüllt. Besonders hervorzuheben sind die traumhafte Lage – einsam und direkt an einem menschenleeren Strand –, das großartige Frühstück und der hervorragende Cappuccino.

Wer geduldig wartet kann auch Affen aus der Nähe beobachten, die sich in den Bäumen des Hotels verpflegen.

Small, beautiful beach resort at the nearly private 2,5km beach strip 15km east of tangalle. Staff is lovely, attentive and very welcoming. Pool is clean and directly at the beachfront. private beach has enough chairs for all guest. Bathing/swimming in the sea is possible, though between 11am and 3pm it may be a little bit rough.

Balconys of Seaview rooms are quite big and especially from the 3rd floor you have a great view of the sunset (but also from the beach itself).

In total, can highly recommend and good value for money.

This place is a little slice of heaven. It is located on the beach in a small fishing village. It has a great restaurant, the rooms are spacious and extremely comfortable and the staff are fantastic.
