A lovely cottage right in the centre of Hathersage

Cons:

Oven needed a clean, but to be fair, they were in the process of re-opening after refurbishing

Comfortable overnight stay in the heart of Hathersage.
Pros:

Lovely old Inn centrally located in Hathersage. Spacious room with large, modern ensuite & very powerful shower! Comfortable bed. Plentiful tea/coffee/water & biscuits in room.
Buffet style breakfast included, with good quality ingredients (particularly tasty sausage)
Pleasant & helpful staff.
Fully dog friendly with no extra charges a real bonus!

Cons:

Decor in our room a little tired, and lacked the character of the refurbished bar & restaurant downstairs.

Lovely place.
Pros:

Well didn't disappoint, in the heart of Hathersage, A lovely refurbishment with a very cozy interior. The rooms have been done really well nice and clean. The staff were very friendly and the food was delicious at a very reasonable price. Nice beer which you can enjoy next to an open fire.

Cons:

Car park slightly small for the amount of guests, but you can park on the road.

Very comfortable cottage stay
Pros:

The 2 bedroom cottage was clean and cosy with comfortable beds and enough seating for 4 guests.
A good sized bathroom with large shower and plenty of hot water.
The buffet breakfast was good, with plenty of hot choices.

Cons:

Nothing major. On checking out, I learned that the new owners had only taken over a couple of months ago and were trying very hard to turn things around so I gave them feedback on a couple of minor issues which they said would get sorted.

Pros:

Central location

Cons:

Beds were extremely uncomfortable. The mattresses need replacing. There was no blind at the bedroom window and staff were unable to rectify the situation so were woken up at sunrise. The only staff member was behind the bar.
The room had not been thoroughly cleaned.
For the price, we were not expecting luxury. However, the basics had not been attended to.
