The amenities are limited but roughly fair.
La habitación muy amplia y tanto sábanas y toallas muy limpias. La cama era muy grande y muy cómoda
Justo en mi ventana había una obra aunque siendo una isla local tampoco es raro
Everything was good the stuff (receptionist were pro, restaurent food was excellent, housekeeping doing an amazing job)
No elevator
Hotel molto carino a due passi dalla bikini beach dell’isola. Servizio di transfer molto utile per chi arriva da Male e anche pick-up all’porto di Maafushi. Struttura pulita e ordinata con staff gentilissimo, abbiamo potuto lasciare i bagagli in struttura dopo il check out e usufruito della possibilità di farci una doccia prima della nostra partenza la sera.
It was very nice stay for us for 4 nights. Room was clean and well managed everything. Staff were very nice especially gimashi, the lady at the service desk was very friendly and co-operative all times. Also kumari, the lady from excursion centre also very helpful and guided us about all the watet activities. All the boys from the room service and the restaurent also amazing. We did snorkelling from sunrise where they booked from ocean vista. It was too good to imagine. The Indian guy name- Md Ali also very helpful throughout our snorkelling journey.

Apart from couple of bad things it was very good in terms of price and service. Location is good as well, very near to the bikini beach and night market.
Food is okay but not that great.
Though didn’t try from there actual menu.
Buffet items are pretty much similar on everyday.
We took breakfast and dinner included in our booking, but we had to do dinner twice from outside. Overall okay.
Also wifi is too bad throughout the days, not sure about other side of the room.
When I am in the room wifi connection is very low, if I go in the balcony the restaurant wifi connected that time as their restaurant was just near to our room. So not sure about other side or room of the hotel. It might be our room wasn’t close enough to the wifi router.
Also lot of construction surroundings but it really didn’t bother us at all.

Be prepared that you won’t be able to sleep at night, as other hotels are being built nearby and construction continues overnight. The sounds of construction work, workers shouting, and the noise of metal falling will not let you enjoy your sleep.
Excellent location – Very close to the beach and main activity/tour spots, making everything easy to access.
• Convenient arrival experience – Buggy pickup from the jetty and quick transfer to the hotel.
• Early check-in flexibility – Being allowed to check in at 10 AM instead of waiting until 2 PM was a big plus.
• Spacious room – The room had good space and didn’t feel cramped.
• Beach view – Nice view from the room added to the overall experience.
Review for Sunrise Beach Hotel, Maafushi
I stayed at Sunrise Beach Hotel Maafushi and overall had a mixed experience.
The location is definitely a strong point—very close to the beach and main activity areas. We also appreciated being allowed to check in early at 10 AM, and the buggy pickup from the jetty was smooth and convenient.
However, there are some areas that need improvement. The building has no elevator, which may be challenging for some guests, and the lobby/common areas are not air-conditioned, making them quite uncomfortable in the humidity. While our room was spacious with a nice view, it felt somewhat outdated and could benefit from better maintenance.
Service was the main concern during our stay. We had an early morning snorkeling tour and requested a takeaway breakfast, as it was included in our booking. In Maafushi, this is generally a common and practical service since most excursions start early, and many other hotels provide this for guest convenience. Unfortunately, our request was declined without explanation or alternatives, which was disappointing.
Additionally, housekeeping was not provided during our 4-day stay (no cleaning or towel changes), and interactions with staff felt limited and not very welcoming.
The checkout experience could also be improved. We were ready at the scheduled time, but no reception staff were available, and we had to rely on the driver to assist us while we were concerned about making our transfer.
Overall, while the location and early check-in were positives, improving service and guest experience would make a significant difference
The location was great.
Some tiles in the floor was broken and the balcony doors were a bit rusty.
