Stayed 5 nights, nice staff. Pretty far from the beach, no breakfast. Low prices come with average everything. Old rooms, the first room was filled with ants, had to ask for a change of room. The rooftop pool seems not clean, smell off. Not much support for guests.
Fresh towels were provided
Staff were rude, disinterested and gave the distinct impression that families weren't welcome.
The room was tidy, but could not be considered clean, with mould evident in the bathroom and fixtures damaged and poorly maintained (broken glass shelf, broken clock thrown in drawer, lamps not working, shower leaking into living area, fridge frozen over, sheets stained).
The location is rubbish - which would be OK if the staff were helpful, but they aren't.
Overall - stay elsewhere.
The rooms were pleasant and comfortable. The hotel kindly let us leave our bags at the hotel after we checked out.
For a hotel of this type we expected a better equipped kitchen and more sound proofing in the rooms. The first night I didn't sleep at all due to a really loud generator noise above my room and building works going on opposite. Some robes would have been a nice touch too. We had to walk a long way to get to restaurants, cafés etc as there weren't any in the neighborhood.
We stayed 2 nights here after flying in from Australia. Long was the manager on duty and looked after us very well. We booked a tour to the tunnels and all transfers through the hotel who were most helpful, good value too. Rooms aren't huge, but clean and quiet which was amazing. Great spot to venture to local shops and cafes/restaurants. Roses beauty across the road for a massage is a must!
Friendly staff and cozy :)
There are motorbike for rent.
Free bicycle
Not far from city, land mark, beach
Good recommend from reception for eating and traveling because I didn’t have any plans of Danang.
The rooms are big and comfortable. Staffs are very friendly and helpful to sort out all our ground arrangement. However, the air conditioner might need to be improved as some of them were not working well. Overall, it's recommended.
This hotel is nice and clean, staff so friendly and helpfull, only the location is bit far away from tourist spot. We just spend one night it's okey for relax and sleep well out from the noise. Who love the quite and relax place this hotel is recomanded.
Visited danang for 2 nights and stay at this Hotel. Room was good big, clean and comfy. In-room facilities were okay. Good location not too far from the main street. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was normal nothing special. Overall is okay recommended to stay here if you visit this town.
Room is normal, room was a bit degraded. when I went in there were little bugs around the sink, too much image. Unfriendly staff.
Pros have elevator and near center .Free bikes for guests around city. Thanks
We booked this hotel for 2 nights last minute due to our homestay room crawling with ants and we have no complaints at at. Rooms were big enough and very clean. Location is about a 10-15 min walk to the beach but some local supermarkets near by. Price of the room was very good also. Staff were ok but then again we were very spoilt in our last Hotel in Hoi An.
I was here with my family and it was really bad. Rooms are deteriorated,
insects filled the room the receptionists are not friendly, always uncomfortable when customers ask anything. We will not return here any time.
This is not a bad hotel by all means. On the good side the location is perfect for getting pretty much anywhere of interest in central Da Nang using the bicycles that are available for free. The bicycles on the other hand are hard to ride for taller people, but who can complain, they are for free right?
The rooms are quite large and basic. The cleaning was ok but could be better. The breakfast and the swimming pool which I didn't try is located on the eight floor. The breakfast rooms are small and tend to get crowded. I found the breakfast good if you come early, but don't expect any Western food.
The staff was friendly. We didn't communicate that much with them but there weren't any problems. All in all it was an OK hotel.
The hotel is off the main road but it isn’t far from the beach or the city. It’s a minutes walk to the beach, and close enough to walk to the city. We were very happy with our suite. We got a free upgrade when we checked in and the staff were very friendly and nice. They helped us with the safe in the room and they even gave us directions for where things were. The room was very spacious and pretty clean. The only thing I’d say is that the WiFi was a little weak. Overall, I would stay at this hotel the next time I’m in Da nang.
Our first place of stay in Danang was this hotel..room that we were in was extremely spacious and neatly maintained..architecture of each and every corner of the room was very thoughtfully executed..reception staff were very supportive and friendly..distance from beach is around 1.5 km..
Sorry, we did not like this hotel with the weirdly British sounding name and would definitely not come again. It is, of course, the hotel's prerogative but it should be noted that it does not really cater to western tourists.
On the positive side, the rooms are spacious enough, the beds comfortable, the AC functions (it was rainy outside in any case) and the water is hot.
The staff would probably like to do their best but their lack of command of even basic English makes it difficult to communicate with them and they are more flustered than efficient.
The hotel building, the public spaces, and the rooms show wear and tear with amateurish efforts to do touch-ups here and there. It is not meticulously clean anywhere and there are nooks and crannies that haven't apparently been touched in a long time. It seems that the staff is fine with this. It is especially troubling in the breakfast room where tables are not properly cleaned and staff must be 'encouraged' to replace filthy table mats. There are unidentifiable odors in the public areas (perhaps bug killers?)
Attention to detail is lacking. When we moved into the room the in-room safe was locked and had to be opened by the staff after we called and the trash basket had not been emptied.
The shower and toilet are in the same cubicle so taking a shower inundates the floor and soaks the toilet seat.
The worst aspect of the hotel is the breakfast room on the 8th floor beside the swimming pool. Take care not to fall in while trying to get to the breakfast room. The room is minuscule and whenever we came very loud music was being piped in. It was turned off at our request and reignited when we left... Even in these cramped quarters, the choice was very limited and not very appetizing in appearance. Most of the options are Asian with some dangerous looking oily bacon, slices of plastic enclosed processed cheese and hard-boiled eggs. There are egg options a la carte but the scrambled eggs that we ordered were watery and inedible.
Generally disastrous. The low room rate does not justify any of this.
I guess you get the picture.
We arrived in the evening, to staff who were happy and inviting. Their English was limited and but we worked with them 😀
Checked in with my passport kept as a security measure.
Following our host showing us to the room, also advising the breakfast level and pool Areas. Thank You. We entered our room 402.
With a window was ok, however the heavy construction in this area blocked our view.
The hotel area to the beach, was 500m and not too noisy😀
Immediately we asked about the security safe box. It was then discovered that the box wasn’t working well. So our host phoned the maintenance guy, who indicated, yes the box is faulty and we should use the hotel Master key? It was ok with us, although we asked to be moved to another room? Unfortunately NO rooms free.
Available Bottle Waters daily, and additional bottles where given when you asked 😀thank you.
The breakfast area of level 8, was small and the selection of food is definitely aimed at the Asian customer. Western style food selection is lacking and perhaps needs a review here, like a few types of fresh fruit and a second cereal like a Muesli on top of the Corn flakes on offer.
Again the staff here were friendly and smiling.
The pool area is open, hot and nice during the day. So we swam late in the afternoon. Very refreshing.
The beach is close and easy to walk too.
Just some small things to change, as the customer service was exceptional👍like Dhuang travel advisor who is delightful.
I would like to thank the staffs who welcomed me so well, the room are very nice with good accomodations, i have spent one entire week in this hotel which was amazing, i could see a lot of things which are worth seeing, the hotel is next to the sea and very pleasant to stay in it.
My regards.
Léo.
I stayed at this hotel a month for my business trip. I really love it. Every staff made my stay peaceful, like at my home. The room is spacious and comfortable, especially its design that is very beautiful. The breakfast has not many options but delicious. The rooftop is great with nice view and a swimming pool which is cleaned daily.
Overall, I was satisfied with this hotel. However, I also find out something you need to improve to be the best hotel in Da Nang:
- Elevator: Arrow button in 6th is incorrect. I press Down to G floor but it bring me to 8th floor before taking me to G floor.
- Air Conditioner: the room is spacious but the AC is small. It takes more than 15 minutes for the room to be cool.
- Bicycle: Bicycle rental is free. But no one told me about it. I must walk in 2 days before finding that bicycle is free.
Finally, thank you all for always supporting me during my trip.
Overall the staff were very friendly and helpful and it was a pleasure having them around to help with local knowledge.
The prior reviews I had read for this hotel regarding breakfast made me think I might be concerned before arrival - but that was not the case; many of the issues had already been resolved. The food was good - a hot buffet offering western as well as asian choices. Hot breakfasts (eg omelette or fried eggs, pho) prepared on the terrace next to the dining area. For guests with western tastes there are cereals, bread and rolls with butter and jam, or cheese, and a choice of juices. Coffee (pour your own cafe sua da) is available from a hotplate, or ask for ice to make your own iced coffee. Plain bread was available but a toaster would have been ideal to allow one to make toast.
The room was clean, and the pool on the roof (beside the breakfast terrace and dining rooms) was clean and perfect for relaxing in. Another plus point is that the Wifi connection was not too slow at all (averaging about 5 Mbps down, 1.2 Mbps up, and 120 ms latency). Convenient for restaurants and street food (on Morrison, Pham Van Dong and side streets close by). Vincom Plaza (for Vinmart Supermarket) beside Han Bridge a short walk away,
I only had 2 issues:-
Safe Deposit Box : I wanted to use safe deposit box in room. Instructions for use in English were printed out by reception staff. The problem was that the first instruction was extremely misleading asking to 'press the red button to the left of the keypad'. There was no red button. After housekeeping had sorted out the password reset procedure I realised it probably was a translation error. If that first sentence were to read something like 'Press the Reset button that is hidden from view in the side panel closest to the door hinge behind the door' then the rest of the instructions make sense. Oh, and use at least 5 digits for the password. 4 digits don't work.
Currency exchange: Reception does change currency, but only USD. Note that they don't change EUROs. At the time of writing the USD exchange rate at the airport (22,700 VND = 1 USD) was more favorable than that offered by the hotel (22,000 VND = 1 USD for amounts > 100 USD). There is an ATM beside Agribank at the junction of Le Van Quy and Pham. I changed euros at the Agribank.
I stayed in Apartment room in 5 nights.
It's very beautiful with French decoration. The room is spacious with 3 windows, a sofa set and a kitchen. Very comfortable to stay.
The swimming pool on rooftop has a good view. The breakfast restaurant nexts to the swimming pool and food quality was improved too much. Most of issues about breakfast mentioned in the previous reviews were resolved.
The staffs are very friendly that made me feel like at home.
Finally, it was my comfortable trip in Da Nang.
